Small Towns=Big Fun #reading #writing #giveaway

I know April Showers brings May flowers is the proper statement but this month I and several author friends are going to shower you with fun tips to make the best of this Corona Virus Pandemic, crafts and or recipes plus there is a big giveaway at the end so read on and enter! This week’s guest is Rachelle Ayala. Hi Rachelle!

Rachelle: As an independent romance author, I’m used to working from home and spending hours alone with my characters. I do go walking around the lake near my house and go out for groceries. I’ve found cooking every day to fit in nicely to my daily routine. One of my sons came home to “work from home,” and my husband, who is a first responder (ER physician), still goes to the hospital to work. I try not to get too crazy about the virus, but it’s hard to disengage from all of the news, isn’t it?

My best go-to friend in times of trial is always reading and writing. I imagine a world where we can all get together and enjoy each other’s company. I write about festivals and cookouts, parties and dances, and in all the social events we used to take for granted. My tip is to read, read, read. Here is a link to my 2020 Goodreads Reading Challenge. Drop by and let me know if we have books in common. https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/20788892

My small-town series, based off Erin Nicholas’ Sapphire Falls, provides plenty of large group gatherings, from bachelor auctions to softball games, haunted houses to petting zoos, and all the romantic possibilities in a setting of family and community. I know it’s not possible right now to have a party or hold a large wedding, but I pray that someday, we will be able to gather together for a cookout, a potluck, a gala ball, or a sock hop. These are favorite scenes for me in my romances.

Check out Going Gets Hot for a summer festival and a hero who collects “germs” from the farm for research. It’s free on Amazon May 13, and 14, so pick it up, along with the rest of the My Country Heart series. It’s Festival Time in Sapphire Falls!
Amber Myers is book smart and people stupid, and she’s tired of being invisible and dateless. Luckily her sister is a hairdresser and works at a beauty salon—in Sapphire Falls.
Chad Powers would rather look into a microscope than approach the only woman he’s ever crushed on.
He follows her to Sapphire Falls, and his farm boy cousins turn him into a hunk in time for the Summer Festival.
The going gets hot when both Amber and Chad get more attention than they bargained for—especially when they’re voted the Festival King and Queen.

Full of twists and turns, Going Gets Hot is a fun romantic romp by Rachelle Ayala, writing in Erin Nicholas’ Sapphire Falls Kindle World.

The romances in the My Country Heart Series can be read standalone, but for continuity, please read them all.
Book 1, Going Haywire
Book 2, Going Toe to Mistletoe
Book 3, Going Hearts Over Heels
Book 4, Going Gets Hot
