Spring is time for rebirth @loreleiconfer #springforeward #renewel #sweettreat

Hello, ya’ll. I don’t know about you but I have had such a bad case of spring fever this year. I don’t know if it is from the sucky year last year and wanting a fresh start, or because the b-12 shots have made my stomach more bearable than the past five years. My guest today is here to talk about the month of March, renewing her series and sharing a sweet treat that I must try! Welcome, Lorelei Confer. Hi Lorelei !

Hi Cathy! Thanks for inviting me over to talk about my Deadly revenge series!

March is the third month of a new year. ‘In like a lion, out like a lamb,’ or so the saying goes. Depending on where you live in the world, the number of snowstorms and below zero temperatures lesson throughout the thirty-one days. Daylight savings time is effective early in the month, (today… so don’t forget to spring forward!). The days are longer and yardwork beckons. Jonquils, daffodils, and tulips pop up everywhere. Which means, yep, the year is absolutely flying by!

St Patrick’s Day on the 17th celebrates the ‘luck of the Irish’ and spring officially begins March 21st. It’s time for a new beginning, a rebirth in many ways.

M&M Kissed Pretzels

This recipe is very easy to make and are a perfect combination of salty & sweet. It’s a great treat and very family-oriented for any holiday of the year, since there are so many varieties/flavors of both the kisses and M&M’s. For example, Easter/Spring use pastel-colored M&M’s; July 4th choose red, white & blue; Fall use caramel-flavored orange and black; etc.

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place small pretzels on baking sheets. Unwrap candy kisses and place one in the center of each pretzel. Place in preheated oven 1 to 2 minutes, until kisses melt. Remove from oven and place one candy-coated M&M in the center of each pretzel. Make as many as you want.  if you try them let me know how you like them.!!

The Reintroduction of the Deadly series with new covers will once again pack a punch with strong men and the women who steal their hearts; Deadly Homecoming and Deadly Gamble are 2020 releases. FBI agents work as Special Agents on the Anti-Human Sex Trafficking task forces all over the country. Some work together as partners.

The Deadly series: There is life and love after abduction or a rough time. The suspense of each book is the story of someone being abducted/kidnapped or convinced and how they could have avoided it. And a romantic love story develops the characters into stronger men and women who are survivors.

The take-away is a strong message of how not to be trafficked, i.e. know your coworkers and their extracurricular activities, or never accept a drink from ANYONE that is open and know your surroundings; who is around you at all times. These are simple examples that have saved lives.

Wyatt Bowman, former-cop-turned-detective, is assigned to the Task Force of Human Trafficking. Sparks fly when a young and beautiful woman bursts into his house. But what neither one of them counted on was how much their lives would change.
Tory Richards returns to North Carolina to help her mother set up a B&B, never expecting to stumble across several murder victims, fall in love, or get abducted by human traffickers. Fortunately, when she’s run off the road on her way into town, Dave Miller, who is working undercover on the task force for human trafficking, comes to her aid. She blows off the near fatal accident as just that-an accident-but she rethinks her position once events escalate. Someone is trying to kill Tory. Failing that, she’s being set up as a suspect in four murders. As Dave falls more deeply for Tory, how will he tell her who he is and what he does? Will she ever trust him? Trust becomes a moot point when Tory is abducted and everything points to the group of human traffickers Dave’s had under surveillance. He calls in the task force, but will they reach Tory before she’s used as a sex slave?
Undercover work doesn’t lend well to trust. Even if they work together like a fine tuned instrument, will Lisa and Sam be able to salvage love after all they’ve been through?

  1. Great book covers! Forgive me if this sounds like a dunce questions, but is the recipe talking about the soft variety of pretzels as opposed to regular bagged potato chip aisle pretzels?

  2. Thank you for having me here today, Cathy! I’d like to invite everyone to share their biggest, noteworthy event that happened during spring, i.e. flooding, birthdays, parties, etc. And I’m always interested in “names.” One of the hardest things for as an author is to come up with good character names, those befitting of my characters, so if anyone wants to “donate” their name to one of my characters, please let me know. I’ll make sure to mention your name in the book acknowledgement. loreleiconfer@gmail.com

    Please let me know! Thanks!

    • we get lots of floods in our area in spring and also lots of tornado warnings and the occasional hit. My name is simply Cathy nothing special. My granddaughter that was killed in July her name is Kira and her daughter we have custody of is Annalise Rosalynne. Thank you for stopping by
