Do you Like sexy vampires or hot weres? What about gorgeous ghosts, witches, warlocks, mages or dragons?
This month we are going to party all month long with some of your favorite authors or new to you ones. We will have tricks and treats galore so come join us every day in October!
Today’s guest is Kryssie Fortune. Kryssie writes about vampires, werewolves, and if she can fit one in, dragons.
Cat: Hello Kryssie, tell us about a favorite trick.
Kryssie: Trick or treating has gradually crossed the Atlantic. Once, us Brits celebrated Mischief Night. We’d get together and play tricks – with no option of a treat. Looking back, I’d have preferred trick or treating. At least I’d have gotten some sweets.
Mischief Night is a tradition dating back to Guy Fawkes attempt to blow up parliament. No fancy dress required, and definitely no vampires or werewolves.
I must have been a real goodie two shoes. I just rang doorbells and ran away. That or grabbed their dustbin lids and tossed them on the ground. Boring and pathetic, I know. Our local bad boys threw eggs.
I’m the world’s worst liar. I either forget my facts or giggle and give the game away. That’s why I don’t do tricks, but I love giving out treats.
Cat: That is interesting. Here some kids still prank by toilet papering trees or throwing eggs. I am lucky to not have had these pranks done on my house. What are your top 5-6 favorite things about Halloween and fall.
Movie: Dracula – Dead and loving It.
Book: A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole
Food: Pumpkin Soup and parking. Parking is a Yorkshire cake that is kept a week to grow moist before serving. Yummy.
Drink: Coffee – any month, any season, any time
Activity: Seeing the neighborhood children in fancy dress. I always make sure I have plenty of treats for them.
Cat: I love Halloween and making treats for the kids or themed dinners do you have a favorite craft or recipe?
Kryssie: I love to cook, but I’m not crafty unless designing a fancy dress costume counts. This year I’m going to Whitby’s Goth Day to celebrate Halloween. (That’s where Dracula landed in the UK in Bram Stoker’s book). I have stick-on spiders, spider jewelry, and I will sew a spiders web on the back of my military-style jacket. I’ll add a long velvet skirt and some Victorian style boots.
Cat: That sounds cute! What book have you come to talk about today?
Title Taken as Theirs
Author Kryssie Fortune
Publisher Stormy Night Publications.
Cover artist Korey Mae Johnson
Genre Gothic, Post-apocalyptic vampire romance/ adventure.
As a breeder–one of the few
fertile women left in a ruined, plague-ravaged world–Cassie would fetch a
handsome price at auction, and selling her to the highest bidder was exactly
what her captors had in mind… until two fearsome beasts decided to take her
Eli and Dane have chosen Cassie for their mate, and when she makes a foolish attempt at escape she quickly ends up tearfully promising obedience as her bare bottom is soundly and shamefully punished. Her body’s response to their stern dominance cannot be denied, however, and it isn’t long before she is screaming out her intense, helpless pleasure as she is roughly and thoroughly claimed. But will Eli and Dane’s pack accept a human girl or will Cassie be an outsider forever?
Publisher’s Note: Taken as Theirs includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.
Kryssie Fortune writes the sort of hot sexy books she loves to read. If she can sneak a dragon into her paranormal books she will. Her paranormal heroes are muscular werewolves, arrogant Fae or BDSM loving dragons.
Kryssie likes her contemporary heroes ex-military and dominant. Her heroines are kick ass females who can hold their own against whatever life – or Kryssie – throws at them.
Kryssie’s pet hates are unhappy endings, and a series that end on a cliff hanger.
Her books are all stand alone even when part of series. Plot always comes before sex, but when her heroines and heroes get together, the sex is explosive and explicit. One review called it downright sensual.
