It’s spring and Regency romances are popping up like daffodils in the park! They’re bright and sunny and just make you smile. Sadly, sometimes, like the pollen now filling the air, they can make you sneeze and keep you awake at night as well.
I love the spring. It’s definitely my favorite season. I love watching the flowers bloom after a long gray winter, and the trees come back to life. I can finally take my dog for long walks in the park where she is so happy to see the green grass once again, she flops onto her back and wiggles and rolls around in it and just revels in the wonderful feeling.
I do the same thing with Regencies, figuratively. I’ll dive right into the one I’m writing or reading—it doesn’t much matter which—and revel in the story, soaking up every detail, feeling every emotion, loving every moment of the roller coaster ride of the romance. Just as my dog loves falls in love with her longs walks every spring, I fall in love with every hero and heroine in my books.
This spring, I’m going to have a bouquet of new Regencies for you to love! I’m coming out with a new series called the Ladies’ Wagering Whist Society. Each book (there will be nine in total!) is about one of the eight ladies of the Wagering Whist Society, plus a bonus book because I had to have three trilogies.
Whist is the antecedent to bridge. Usually, when people played, they bet a penny a point. My ladies don’t play for money, though, they play for secrets!
Everyone has secrets.
