Pup Style family fun #St.Patricksday #handfood #themeddinners

Welcome to Meal Planning Monday. This week I would like to share our themed menu for St. Patrick’s day this year. I love doing the themed meals and my family loves eating them.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

This years’s menu is a bit different from my corned beef and cabbage.

We are going to have Cornish pasties. Tatties with sour cream sauce, cabbage steaks, and maybe pretzels with cheese dip. For dessert an apple cake with a creme sauce and Watergate salad. I am sure that isn’t Irish but I wanted something green and not green frosted cupcakes.

There were so many recipes out there for Cornish Pasties, or hand pies. I finally chose this because My family will like the ground beef and it’s less expensive than steak or roast. It also used home made pastry and not store bought. https://www.cookingchanneltv.com/recipes/michigan-pasty-meat-hand-pie-2042803?

This was the runner up. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/26599454036475131/

There were lots of potato recipes. Some called Boxties, some called Tatties. I chose this one.

I love cabbage steaks, the family does too. They are so easy to make. just slice, season, bush with oil or butter and roast in oven for about 20 minutes. here is a recipe. https://www.smalltownwoman.com/cabbage-steaks/

This cake looks delicious. I am thinking of cupcakes though to stick with the hand food theme. https://www.coupons.com/thegoodstuff/authentic-irish-dishes/?

My mother -in-law always makes me this or an orange one when I come visit it is so yummy. https://www.homemadeinterest.com/wprm_print/36038?fbclid=IwAR23BaBK6kqMVUxZlR1jESLqtSKGIu9SXyai0kzj8EiO0Tbh4GHxMw0MNQw
