Yes, my first love was David Coverdale of Whitesnake. Heck, I may have even crushed on his wife Tawny Kitain or at least dreamed of being her. Let’s face it. David was gorgeous, his face his hair his voice, the way he moved, all perfect in my book. I even loved him in his first group Deep Purple.

As a matter of fact, I was a fickle little girl and loved all the big hair bands in the 70’s and 80’s. They had competition tough with Starsky and Hutch and Don Johnson.
Then real life comes along in the 80’s I graduate meet my first husband have a child and real love ensues. (My husband had thick curly sandy hair too though not as long as the big hair guys. I never was able to convince him to grow it that long.)
Ok, so I am sure this isn’t what week 42 of the MFRW blog challenge meant. The topic is my First love and when I saw this I was at a loss. I had written about my first puppy love and first kiss. I talk about my love (obsession) of books all the time. I didn’t want to be repetitive. I decided you guys haven’t seen my less serious side so I am being silly cat today. It is true though what I said. I do love book hair bands. Now I’ve moved on to cowboys, anti-hero, detectives you name it whatever my mood is I can find a new love daily in books. I still have that fondness for my 80’s bands. I guess I am really showing my age too LOL!
Now let’s go see who the other author’s first loves were.

You don’t have to worry about repeating yourself, because you’re a writer and you’d manage to give a different spin to it.
Thanks Ed
I forgot the Big Hair Days, lol. I think we all had trouble with this week’s topic. You did great!
Thanks Robin!
I loved the 80s bands! Well, I pretty much loved all things 80s 🙂 The hubs was a heavy metal band man- long hair and all. His hair just wasn’t big 80s style, lol.
I still am an 80’ girl!
I love long hair on men. The big hair era worked for me. I can agree with finding a new love in books, but not daily anymore. Enjoy your weekend, Cathy!
Thanks for stopping by Mary. Funny now I prefer collar length and darker hair. Maybe I grew up just a little.
There’s nothing silly about having a groove on for hair bands! Great post.
Thank you Flossie!
