Cowboys and Bad boys~Oh Yeah! #MFRWauthor #blogchallenge #romance

Welcome to week  19 of the 52-week MFRW blog hop challenge.  The topic for this week is What is our perfect Romance Hero.

That is a real tough question for me as I don’t have a perfect one. My ideals change with my moods. This reflects in both my writing and reading material.

I guess my favorite is a Cowboy. I never seem to get tired of them. Whether is is a gentle, caring one saving his farm or raising some family members babies or starts out a royal pain in the butt ( these are my favorite I suppose) I like bad boys to redeem.

I also like Military men, special ops, bodyguards, firemen, and police. Bad boys rank high on my list as well. I like men they work hard yet have a soft spot under all that rough exterior. (ok erotica writers no chuckling.)

I also like chefs and blue-collar workers. I like men that work hard yet have a soft spot under all that hard exterior. (ok erotica writers no chuckling.)

Bad boys rank high on my list as well. I don’t know what it is about a bad boy but there is this invisible pull that leads me to them LOL. I guess I like the tough take no crap attitude, but we as authors can find their weakness and redeem them.

I fell in love with Rhett Butler in Gone With the Wind and have loved bad boys ever since.

What is your favorite romance hero? Who was your first Romance Hero Crush?

Let’s go check out the other blogger’s favorite romance heroes.

  1. There is the appeal of the bad boy. You want to see that soft cuddly guy under the rough exterior. You want to see them grow and change since their outlook on life is changing. It’s sweet.

  2. Mine is Loki 😀
And, I’m glad you said Cowboys, because I never cared for them until recently, when I started a Western Regency and he’s actually a bit sexy. Thanks for sharing!

    • Loki is a good choice too! I don’t know what my obsession with cowboys are but it’s bad LOL. Thanks for dropping by Raine

  3. I now live in Tucson, a city of a million that nonetheless thoroughly embraces the cowboy ethos. Cowboy hats and boots everywhere, you know? I moved here from a small acreage in the northern boondocks that was just a barbed wire strand from a working ranch — but the ‘cowboys’ there wore neither cowboy hats nor boots, so Tucson was a bit of an adjustment.

    • That’s interesting ED. I need to visit Tucson! My grandpa had a farm. My uncles wore more of a baseball hat. Papa wore straw hats and most wore mud boots LOL The rodeo guys and guys at the sale barn though did wear the hats and boots. I guess that’s where I get my infatuation. Thanks for visiting Ed!

    • I’ve had a couple bad boys and found they don’t completely change lol. That’s real life VS fiction romance I guess LOL. Two of my uncles serve in Nam so I guess that’s why I also like mMilitary Heros they were mine
