Serenity Sunday~~Bench for my Mudroom #saveatree

A couple of Years ago my hubby decided he wanted his own sawmill. Now remember we live in the city limits. So he bought one and began getting with the tree companies to get logs from them instead of them hauling them to the dump to be burned. when most of these were  the wrong type of tree or just small limbs he began going to the dump himself. He would load up big logs with potential to become boards  or benches or tables and bring them home. It has been a learning process as the  logs tend to split no matter what he seems to do but here is the latest project.

A bench for my Mudroom which is really a hallway. A table to go beside it is in process.

It was hard to get a good shot with the space so tight. I told my granddaughter this will be another quiet place she can sit and do whatever it is she does all day on her phone !

Do you have a special corner or place in your house to  sit back and read?

    1. He is making the table to go beside it. And the wood for my pantry. We don’t cut the trees but use trees that have been cut. We save them from the big burn.
