Cowboys and Bad boys~Oh Yeah! #MFRWauthor #blogchallenge #romance

Welcome to week  19 of the 52-week MFRW blog hop challenge.  The topic for this week is What is our perfect Romance Hero.

That is a real tough question for me as I don’t have a perfect one. My ideals change with my moods. This reflects in both my writing and reading material.

I guess my favorite is a Cowboy. I never seem to get tired of them. Whether is is a gentle, caring one saving his farm or raising some family members babies or starts out a royal pain in the butt ( these are my favorite I suppose) I like bad boys to redeem.

I also like Military men, special ops, bodyguards, firemen, and police. Bad boys rank high on my list as well. I like men they work hard yet have a soft spot under all that rough exterior. (ok erotica writers no chuckling.)

I also like chefs and blue-collar workers. I like men that work hard yet have a soft spot under all that hard exterior. (ok erotica writers no chuckling.)

Bad boys rank high on my list as well. I don’t know what it is about a bad boy but there is this invisible pull that leads me to them LOL. I guess I like the tough take no crap attitude, but we as authors can find their weakness and redeem them.

I fell in love with Rhett Butler in Gone With the Wind and have loved bad boys ever since.

What is your favorite romance hero? Who was your first Romance Hero Crush?

Let’s go check out the other blogger’s favorite romance heroes.

synopsis

unnamed (1)Spencer Quinn has an image to uphold. His family name means more than anything. It’s the reason the reason they’ve become the most successful stock contractor on the rodeo circuit. Fresh out of school, he’s ready to take over the family business. It’s no secret he’s attracted to men, and so far that hasn’t been a problem.

Until Evan.

The assertive friend who knows how to push every one of his buttons.

Evan Taylor is known for his love ‘em and leave ‘em style, yet the last few months have left him deflated and lonely. His father’s shadow wasn’t where he wanted to end up, but he’s having trouble finding happiness. Maybe because women can’t keep his attention. He’s losing hope of settling down until a blast from the past saunters by, his heart catches and tingles spread over his skin.

Of all people, Spencer. The one person who would never give Evan a second glance. It’s just his luck.

The old saying, “Bad luck is better than none at all” fits Evan perfectly. Or does it? Is his bad luck about to change? Will Spencer Quinn be a good luck charm instead?

review

3meows 2 Purrs( low heat)

Spencer has returned from college ready and is learning to take over his father’s business when he retires. Evan is ready for a change in his life. He just had a birthday and is tired of waking up with a different woman every day. He is unsatisfied and ready to find someone and decide his future, knowing he won’t be able to ride the rodeo forever. When Spencer shows up all grown up feelings come forth Evan didn’t know existed. Now he has to prove to Spencer and, SPencer’s brother which is his best friend that he can be the man Spencer needs , not some screwed up, playboy cowboy.

Reading the blurb, this story had so much promise. I love a good cowboy book, especially the rodeo, rough and tumble type. I was a little disappointed.  Don’t get me wrong. The book is very good. It is a perfect  sweet romance where the bad boy triess to change and win over the man he wants. There just was no real conflict or action to the story. I did enjoy it and am curious to see what book two holds.

If you like cowboys and a sweet romance you should like this.

I was given a free copy for an honest review.

The years that were taken can never be repaid.

The memories stolen can never be returned.

But I had to move forward…for him, my son.

Noah had spent years wondering what he could have done differently. Wondering what he’d done wrong to make Stacey leave. The heartache from her absence and the what-ifs of their past eventually turned to anger—and then disgust.

It took years for him to move on, and once he did, his past came thundering back, revealing a secret.

A secret that would forever change his future.

Alena had waited for the chance to have more with Noah. He was an enigma, a man of mystery, yet she wasn’t quite ready to give up on him. She knew there was more to him than what he allowed those around him to see. She was drawn to his charm and his calm nature. With an uprooted past of her own, she craved a little stability more than anything. But when things between them finally begin to grow into more, their relationship is tested.

Will it all be too much for Alena to handle?
Or will she decide to stay and be a part of…Noah’s Journey?

CA Harms you are an outstanding author and I love every word you write! Keep up the good work!!” – For the Love of Books

This is book three of a series, and you do need to read them in order, or you may be quite confused about who all the characters are.
Noah and Alena have just begun to date when his past comes back to haunt him. Suddenly finding out he is a father he struggles to spend all the time he can with Austin but Alena feels she is being pushed away.
The Sawyer Brothers is a very good story of three brothers, family and life struggles each as to overcome an obstacle and finds love Noahs’s journey is a great story.  I loved how it showed how he is a good father and such a good person. This series is a character-driven story and each man (and woman) grow as the books move on.
The one thing I had an issue with was the epilogue at the end. It gave each character four years later, and that was a very sudden jump. Also, Noah’s part of the epilogue was at the end and was very jarring. I would have liked to seen that as part of the story then the others epilogues.
All in all the story is very good, Characters excellent and sex scenes are smoking hot.
If you like cowboys, that are also cops (we get double hotness here)strong female leads, bakers, designers, cute kids and very hot sex scenes you will like this series!

C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn’t always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.
She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. You will always find her with her kindle or paperback in hand as it is her favorite pass time.
