Cats Meow Survivor @TM Smith #favoriteauthor #MMromance #giveaway

Guess what… Survivor is available now!
I’m so excited to share this story with you, the first in a new series. There’s murder, suspense, romance and passion. What more could you want?? The synopsis and buy links are below, and be sure to enter the giveaway for a chance to win a surprise swag pack!

Taylor Langford’s world is torn apart when he is only thirteen years old—his parents killed, leaving him alone and orphaned. With no living relatives, he’d certainly be another statistic if not for the intervention of the policeman who found Taylor in the crawl space where his mother hid him that fateful night. Despite the tragedy and resulting anguish in his life, Taylor knows how lucky he is.

Frank Moore is a rookie with the Dallas Police Department when he and his partner answer a call in Devonshire, one of the city’s more affluent neighborhoods. They think the young boy in various pictures throughout the home has been kidnapped until they find him, shaken but alive. Officer Moore recognizes the pain in the kid’s eyes, having lost his own mother to cancer when he was just a boy. He steps in, making sure Taylor is placed with a loving foster family. Over the years, Frank becomes a permanent fixture in Taylor’s life.

A decade later, the case remains unsolved and the once gangly, uncertain teenager is now a college graduate who knows exactly what he wants. He’s coming home to the man that helped mold and shape his life, the man he’s loved for as long as he can remember, Frank Moore. But Taylor isn’t the only person returning to Dallas, and while Frank is distracted by his own conflicting feelings and the new bond growing between the two, the past creeps up on them, determined to finish what was started ten years earlier.
A note from the author…

I hope you enjoy Frank and Taylor’s story. It’s been a long road to get them settled, but I’m happy with where this story has taken them. When I started this book, the intent was to write a stand-alone story, but that has changed. Characters continually evolve throughout the writing process, and there are several characters in the book that want to tell their story. I’ve grown especially fond of Rory and I can’t wait to write his book, which will take us back to when he first joined the Bureau, and continue on to his happy ever after.
Please be advised: This is a May/December romance, and as in life, there are sexual situations that take place prior to the main characters finding their way to one another. This is not gratuitous; it is meant to show character growth and self-realization. There is absolutely no cheating.

Caging the Time-sucker

I have this little creäture in y house. I know it’s here even though I can’t see it. Yes, I have an invisible Time-sucker on the loose. I make great plans but this little devil likes to add things or hide things making me hunt them.

I have dedicated this month to clean up the mess my Time-sucker made last year. I need to find him and cage him, but I bet he has siblings to go behind him and continue to stick shiny things in my face or on my Facebook wall, or in my email.

It is almost the end of January and I have made no headway so far in eliminating this mess or finding the nasty little creäture. I do have a list to work through. Some of it as it come such as Emails.  Through Insta-freebie I have a gazillion Newsletters. No disrespect to those authors but if I am not going to keep reading them or following them or possibly buying their book I don’t need to keep those emails coming. Lesson learned. Only take the Insta-freebies I am truly interested. Not just a freebie. I also have a habit of signing up for lots of free eBooks and recipes or crafts. I am cutting those back too.  Each day I do this when emails show up I decide to stay or go.

*Song pops in head*

I have a list for Goodreads as well. I have already cut back on the groups there. Most of them didn’t have any forums or anything current.  I still need to cut a few more. I also need to go through my book list and check my currently reading and to read pile. This is at the end of my list, though.

On Facebook, I need to work through Groups, pages, and friends. I have started on each. I cut my groups way back and still need to cut a few more.

These are my three major problem areas. I think linked in twitter and Google plus could use some going through too.  Maybe later in the year.

Another issue I have before making my schedule is a friend suggested combining the Bites Trilogy into one long book instead of three short ones. I haven’t decided but that will mean a revision on my schedule. Speaking of which I need to make one…February is fast approaching.

I do have my blogging sorted. I will be doing a Tuesday Teaser, a Blog hop post on Friday, A week In Review on Saturday and a cute animal or babies post on Monday.  I may add in personal post now and again like today.

Speaking of all this work, I better get back to it.

Do you make lists and schedules? Does the Time-sucker visit you too?

Any tips are appreciated!

Bryan and Aubrey’s story continues in Rockin’ it Forever

Can the touch of a rock god last forever?

Music journalist Bryan Gallagher’s life has completely changed in an unexpected way. Not only has he snagged a dream assignment as the memoirist to alternative music’s rock superstar Aubrey King, but he’s also promised to give the beautiful and enigmatic musician a chance for them to forge a relationship. It’s all very overwhelming for Bryan since, up until he spent a sexually charged day and night with Aubrey, Bryan has never even dreamed of being with a man.
Aubrey is completely smitten with the boyishly handsome, young rock writer, Bryan. After their instant spark grows into something more, Aubrey is desperate to keep Bryan by his side for always. He’s promised Bryan that their love is for real, that Bryan isn’t simply one of his rock star conquests.
Their road isn’t an easy one, though. Despite their deepening bond and growing need for each other, other factors intrude. Neither Aubrey nor Bryan is ready to come out, and their relationship needs to remain a carefully guarded secret. In addition, Aubrey has to answer to the demands of his profession and Bryan has to traverse the shifting waters between his personal and business relationship with his famous lover.
Then a secret is revealed and everything in their joint world implodes. When a love is so strong that two men can barely take a breath without thinking of the other, will that be enough to bridge the loss of trust? The only way they can rock their love forever is if Aubrey can reach Bryan before it’s too late.

Early response to Rockin’ it Forever…

“This book has it all: rocker musicians, incredible sexual chemistry, struggles with being in the closet, doubts regarding the relationship, intense feelings, and the amazing HEA with a forever kind of love.”

Excerpt from Rockin’ it Forever…

Aubrey Fucking King.
Bryan hid what he was certain would be a goofy grin behind his fingers. He didn’t need the older woman in the seat next to him on the plane to think he’d lost his entire mind. But the mutual masturbation with Aubrey in the shower that morning was emblazoned in his memory. Their inability to keep their hands off each other had left Bryan with precious little time to get to his hotel, grab his things then make it to the airport without missing his flight. Being trapped on the airplane for his journey from the west to the east coast was the first chance he’d had to relax and dwell on the previous couple of days filled with utter craziness. However, his immediate thoughts had landed on the visual of their slickened cocks rubbing together.
It was difficult to decide which event had him more thrilled, confused, elated, freaked out or stunned—that he’d had sex with his rock star idol or that he’d had sex with a man. He shook his head, unable to help himself.
“I’m sorry, but it’s inflight rules.”
Bryan jerked his chin up. “Huh?”
The flight attendant pointed at his laptop. “I said, you need to stow that for takeoff.”
“Oh! Sorry, I…uh, of course.”
His cheeks heated as if the pretty blonde attendant had any idea what sort of filthy thoughts had been drifting through his mind. She was the sort of woman he’d always been drawn to—confident, attractive, feminine. Another thought tried to wriggle its way into his ponderings, but he preferred putting it off for the time being. Everything had been so heated, so urgent between him and Aubrey—it had barely allowed him a moment to process the emerging lust and connection they now shared.
That was all real, right?
He idly played with the collar of his long-sleeved cotton shirt that was made up of a block plaid pattern in varying shades of blues and greens. Aubrey had commented on the colors, had said he liked the way Bryan’s lighter hair and deep blue eyes contrasted with them. Bryan allowed his fingers to travel under the fabric, to run across his clavicle. He couldn’t feel it—feel them—but he knew they were there. The marks Aubrey had sucked up on his skin. Then there’d been the rather prominent one Aubrey had asked Bryan to put on him so that everyone would know that Bryan was the one to whom Aubrey belonged.
It was silly, really, but it’d also been very sweet. People might surmise that Aubrey had been with someone, but they would have no idea it was rock journalist Bryan Gallagher. Bryan attempted to tamp down yet another unsettling thought and realized he was going to run out of space to hide from everything in his mind in an awfully short time.
No one will know because Aubrey won’t tell anyone he was with a man. But then again, neither will I.

This-n-That Thursday~#throwbackthursday~~#springcleaning

Hi, Y’all. Spring is finally in full bloom. We are still having a touch of cool weather and some rain here. Schools are getting out, and it’s time to start spring cleaning if you haven’t already.  What is Spring cleaning? It is when we are tired of being cooped up in the house. Tired of the clutter and time to put away the warmer stuff like blankets and heaters and pull out our summer clothes, mend what needs mending, have yard sales to get rid of some old our old stuff and get new if needed.

I remember when I  was younger and mom would gear up for spring cleaning. She would gather cleaning supplies like Murphy’s oil soap and pine sol. She would tackle one room at a time taking everything out; she started with the floor. We had the old hardwood ones you had to polish. She would do the stripping and rewax the floors, wash walls and base boards, dust for cobwebs; our furniture was the wooden stuff with big cushions so she would polish it and put it all back.  She would take all the plastic off the windows we used for winter and washed all the windows remove nails so she could open them to let in cool air( we didn’t have an air conditioner back then. I am not sure how we survived.  The house smelled like fresh air, rain, and pine.

Next, she tackled each bedroom doing the same cleaning floors changing the bedding to cooler lighter ones putting away the quilts and flannel sheets. She even washed our stuffed animals, had us go through all our toys any we out-grew, didn’t want or was broken got tossed, given to a cousin or put in the yard sale, the same with our old clothes.

She would scrub the bathroom like the living room washing baseboards, opening the window washing all the curtains. Last was the kitchen. She took everything out of the cupboards washed it all down, walls included and the bug man would come in and spray before she put everything back away.  She would gather all the stuff she had boxed from each room and dad would have done the shed by now, and Mom and her friend would have the rummage sale.  She would give my sister and me a dollar each for our donations and let us go to the neighborhood store around the corner. We would get a big bag of candy each since back then; they had penny nickel and dime selections. We would get soda for a quarter and a bottle as well, maybe chips for a ten cents. We were in heaven. It wasn’t like now when the grand-kids call up and ask “can I get a few 20’s to take on my field trip Monday?” (true story). “Or I beat my game can I get a new one?” Grandson asks.”How much?” I answer.   “Oh about $60.” He responds like that’s a drop in a bucket. You give them a dollar they are like “What am I supposed to do with this?”

Back to the spring cleaning. These days we may do it a bit different. At the time above my mom didn’t work. Once my brother was born, she did begin working out of the home, and here spring cleaning was spread out on the weekends not done in one week.  Nowadays most of us do work, so we have to find the time to fit in this task.  That is why I thought I would do series over a few posts on Spring Cleaning.

Next week I have a guest post that is sharing some tips and tricks and even has a few printables.  Then Next month I  plan to share some of my before and after pictures, some will be in the house, some will be gardening since I am cleaning my yard as well.

Do you do spring cleaning? Have a yard sale?  Do you have any memories of your mom and spring cleaning?

Remember~~If you can dream it~~You can do it!
