Beauregard Boudreaux is a native of New Orleans Louisiana, born and raised there, he never thought he would ever stray far from home. The untimely death of his first love left Beau lost, adrift, looking for a place as far away from the pain as possible. Initially, he came to New York to visit a friend, the city growing on him, so he decided to stay. His law degree comes in handy at the LGBT Center he runs, but his bar is his baby.

William Richards grew up in Chicago, his family oddly normal and very accepting of his sexuality. Modeling paid the bills, gigs across the country as a model, male entertainer and a personal trainer giving him the opportunity to see the world. He hasn’t experienced loss or pain as Beau has, the common denominator between them is the loneliness. As All Cocks big, brooding bottom Connor, William has found friendship, family and an outlet for his craving to be more submissive than men of his size and stature usually are.

The two men are perfect for each other, their tastes and lives align and the writing seems to be on the wall. But Beau has a secret he shares with a choice few, a secret that not only threatens to keep them apart, it’s deadly. Determined to keep a wall between himself and William, Beau fights the attraction, pushes William away every time he steps closer. Can one man’s determination and strength be enough to tear down a wall that holds back decades of pain and darkness? And if he can, will either of them survive the flood?

Disclaimer: This book is the fictional story of a man living with HIV. I have put a lot of time and effort into presenting this story as true to fact as possible, without going into gory or gruesome detail. If this subject is a trigger for you, you may want to skip this read. But my hope is that you give Beau a chance to capture your heart as he has mine, and William’s.

My Review

Overall  5 meows
Performance 5 meows
Story 5 meows

Beau is many things. sexy, a Bar owner a lawyer and advocate to LGBT centers and runaway youth. He is also lonely and has a secret that keeps from finding comfort in another man.

William is a big man that men think he always wants to so he never gets fulfilled in relationships. He took a liking to Beau at first sight and is bound to get what he wants. But can he handle Beau’s secret?

This is a beautiful story with lots of angst. It is also a story of men making new friends as Beau meets Micah and Gabe and the others at the studio. It’s a story of community and family because these guys stick together better than most families. There is a lot of love and a few sad places as well.
This is one of my favorite in this series as it really tugs at the heartstrings.
I read the book which is awesome but I recommend the Audio.
Joel Leslie brings such great voices to the characters, the tempo is perfect inflictions perfect he just makes a good thing so much better.

Cat’s Meow~~Survival Game by Susan Mac Nicol #LGBT #giveaway

Let’s give a warm welcome to Susan Mac Nicol and her opinion on having online friends.

I want to talk a little bit about virtual friendships and making friends via social networks. Yep, those ones you make on Facebook and other social networking sites. Now some people have questioned the use of the word ‘friend’. They say, ‘How can someone you’ve never met be your ‘friend’, someone you only know over the ether waves and even then, you have no idea who they really are.  Man, woman, pervert, paedophile, priest, business man, serial killer—true, you have no idea who they really are. A lot of them you have no idea of their gender, and the number of nom de plumes abound. There are super heroes, book characters, film-stars and even cartoon characters.

The word friend is defined in the dictionary as ‘a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations.’ It’s a very broad and sweeping definition and in my mind, it certainly applies to those people with whom we strike up a relationship over the social airwaves. I talk to people every day who I consider friends. People who share their stories and their lives with me, their ups and downs, their successes and failures, their daily strife and their dreams and aspirations. I have people I know in ‘real life’ who are not as good as friends as these others.  I have people who know me personally and face to face yet have never bought or read any of my books and aren’t really interested in what I do because it’s out of their comfort zone.

And then I have people who private message me, sending me personal voice messages of support and whenever I’m down, seem to pick up on it and let me know they are thinking of me.

Personally, I have made some of the best friends ever via Twitter and Facebook. People who are now face to face friends and where the relationship has developed to such an extent that it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

I have wonderful fellow authors who give me advice on areas they are more expert in and others, professionals in their field, who do the same and give up their time to make a meaningful contribution to something I’ve written. I have fellow authors who give me their time and knowledge and expertise and counsel to try and make me a better and more marketable writer despite the fact they have their own books to promote and their own businesses and lives to live.

So the next time someone face to face says’ You and your stupid Facebook and Twitter friends, why don’t you get a proper life’, just look them in the eye, and say ‘Have you read my books, the ones I slave over? Have you helped me out recently when I was feeling down, sent me a funny message to cheer me up? Have you heard my tales of woe and actually listened instead of telling me all yours?”

If the answer is No, then don’t feel guilty for having this world of virtual friendships. Whatever keeps you going and happy, it’s worth it if it means something to you.

Thank you, Susan, for this lovely insight and I want to say thank you for being my friend even if we live countries apart!

Now for what we have all been waiting for! Book Nine in the Men of London series!

Survival Game

Men of London Book 9

by Susan Mac Nicol

Genre: M/M Romance

HANDLE…

Kyle Tripper has led an interesting life. Currently the manager of
London’s famous Club Delish, he used to be a croupier extraordinaire
in Las Vegas. But not everything in that life was so glamorous; his
ex was a piece of work. Now gun-shy, Kyle hopes there is someone
special out there for him, and secretly wishes it’s luscious
paramedic, Eric Kirby.
WITH CARE
Every day Eric Kirby goes through the motions. Yeah, he saves lives, and,
sure, he makes a difference, but he doesn’t feel it anymore – not
since he lost his one true. But, when he meets wild, flamboyant Kyle
Tripper and learns there’s a skittish, apprehensive man beneath the
bold façade, the best of Eric’s protective nature kicks in and opens
his heart to a new love.
How about a little more?

EXCERPT #2: (more Pg friendly)

Around ten that night, Eric walked into Club Delish to find it in full swing. He grinned wryly. Life carried on regardless of the owner being in hospital.

Determined to find Kyle, Eric manoeuvred through the writhing throng of half-naked, sweaty bodies, pouting drag queens, and men in various stages of grinding and sex play on the dance floor. He had a feeling he knew where to look.

Sure enough, Kyle was in Ryan’s office, standing with arms folded across his chest as he stared out of the large observation window down at the mass below. Eric couldn’t help but notice the strain of Kyle’s shirt across his shoulders, sleeves rolled up the elbows. His pert arse filled out his well-fitting trousers, one foot tapping to the faint strains of the music floating up from below. His hair colour had changed once again since Eric had seen him last. It was still a deep dark purple but now featured lilac streaks at the tips, and artful splashes that looked casually painted in.

Eric knocked and cleared his throat, announcing himself, knowing Kyle was skittish. Startling the man was the last thing he wanted.

“Kyle?” He waited as Kyle turned swiftly and a look of relief passed over his face when he saw it was Eric.

“Hi. What are you doing here?” Kyle moved away from the window and smiled softly. “Can’t keep away, huh?”

Eric walked into the room and laid his jacket on the chair. “I wanted to see how you were doing. And find out if there was any news about Ryan. I imagine things have been a little chaotic here today.”

Kyle waved a black fingernail-tipped hand. He had long fingers, and Eric had seen their dexterity first-hand when Kyle had done his card tricks. A fleeting flash of lust passed through Eric as he wondered what those fingers would feel like milking his cock.

                                                              MY Review

Survival Game

Men of London Book 9

Susan Mac Nicol

Cover Love: I think the cover is delish, but the title being bold helped bring it together.
Susan Mac Nicols is an auto-buy author for me and I love the Men of London series. This one has a lot of Ryan and Mango from book 8 plus a few cameos from the other books, but the book stands alone nicely.
Survival Game is Kyle and Eric. Kyle’s ex was abusive and left him fearful and broken. he keeps his identity hidden hoping that he won’t come after him. he is careful of dating since he doesn’t want to get hurt again, both physically and emotionally.

Eric has a secret from his past as well. He lost the love of his life but something about Kyle touches him the more he talks to him and goes out with him, the more he wants to be with him.

I love this series and each book I say I love the main characters more. I have to admit the same here. Both Eric and Kyle touched my heart. I love character-driven stories and this one is amazing. Kyle, even though he has issues, is cocky, to the point goes for what he wants.
Eric is a sexy paramedic and more laid back than Kyle so the two fit perfectly. Eric’s job adds some action and tension to the story and Kyles card tricks add some fun, His best friend that visits adds a touch of humor and lightness.
If you are looking for a fun, fresh story, like sexy paramedics, hot croupiers, and club managers, drag queens, and some hot man-sex you will love this book
I highly recommend it.

Guess what… Survivor is available now!
I’m so excited to share this story with you, the first in a new series. There’s murder, suspense, romance and passion. What more could you want?? The synopsis and buy links are below, and be sure to enter the giveaway for a chance to win a surprise swag pack!

Taylor Langford’s world is torn apart when he is only thirteen years old—his parents killed, leaving him alone and orphaned. With no living relatives, he’d certainly be another statistic if not for the intervention of the policeman who found Taylor in the crawl space where his mother hid him that fateful night. Despite the tragedy and resulting anguish in his life, Taylor knows how lucky he is.

Frank Moore is a rookie with the Dallas Police Department when he and his partner answer a call in Devonshire, one of the city’s more affluent neighborhoods. They think the young boy in various pictures throughout the home has been kidnapped until they find him, shaken but alive. Officer Moore recognizes the pain in the kid’s eyes, having lost his own mother to cancer when he was just a boy. He steps in, making sure Taylor is placed with a loving foster family. Over the years, Frank becomes a permanent fixture in Taylor’s life.

A decade later, the case remains unsolved and the once gangly, uncertain teenager is now a college graduate who knows exactly what he wants. He’s coming home to the man that helped mold and shape his life, the man he’s loved for as long as he can remember, Frank Moore. But Taylor isn’t the only person returning to Dallas, and while Frank is distracted by his own conflicting feelings and the new bond growing between the two, the past creeps up on them, determined to finish what was started ten years earlier.
A note from the author…

I hope you enjoy Frank and Taylor’s story. It’s been a long road to get them settled, but I’m happy with where this story has taken them. When I started this book, the intent was to write a stand-alone story, but that has changed. Characters continually evolve throughout the writing process, and there are several characters in the book that want to tell their story. I’ve grown especially fond of Rory and I can’t wait to write his book, which will take us back to when he first joined the Bureau, and continue on to his happy ever after.
Please be advised: This is a May/December romance, and as in life, there are sexual situations that take place prior to the main characters finding their way to one another. This is not gratuitous; it is meant to show character growth and self-realization. There is absolutely no cheating.

Cayuga Cougars

V.L. Locey

M/M Erotic  Hockey Romance

August Miles has the world on a string professionally.

Augie, as his friends and teammates call the unassuming young goaltender, is on the fast track to the pros. The starting goalie for the Cayuga Cougars, he has a year or two in Cayuga to hone his skills and all his career dreams will have come true. Pity his personal life isn’t riding the same high. He’s the only one among his group of friends without that special someone to call his own.

Until he meets Salvatore Castenada at a lakeside party. The attraction is white-hot and more than a little wonderfully overwhelming for the romantically inexperienced goalie. August quickly discovers that Sal is everything he’s dreamed of in a man: mature, settled, sinfully handsome, and filled with gentle humor. Sal is also HIV positive.

Will Sal’s revelation about his status end this budding relationship before it can even begin? Or will the two men be able to handle the challenges life—and a championship run for the Cougars—throws at them?

MY REVIEW

Once again V.L. Locey has knocked another one out of the ballpark or should I say into the net! I simply love how V.L. isn’t afraid to approach touchy social issues. This one, in particular, being HIV.

August Miles is a charming character that is closeted, though he wonders why since there are players on his team openly gay. He meets Sal at a graduation party for Heather, the baby momma to Victor one of Augie’s teammates.

Sal is a transportation orderly at the hospital and a close friend of Heather’s. Sal and Augie hit it off right away and their romance develops quickly but will Sal’s secret be too much for Augie?

As usual, all of the characters are well-developed, charming, quirky and fun. We get another look at Vic and Dan and also Mario and Lila.
The topic as I mentioned is dealing with an HIV positive lover and I learned a lot. I didn’t want to put this book down once I started!

If you like interesting characters, Hockey players, Orderlies, a sweet romance with a touchy subject, coming out a spicy romance with some hot man-sex you will like this.
If you are not a sports fan don’t let that stop you. The hockey does not overpower the story and does add flavor!

How about a little more Open Net? (R-Rated )

Several days later, trying to be nonchalant about things, I stood outside his door, empty container in my hand, features schooled not to reflect how scared I was.

He looked shocked to see me on his doorstep. “Hey,” he said.

I held up the empty dish.

His gaze darted to the container, then back to me, a smile tugging at the corner of his sensual mouth. “Looking for a refill or something more?”

“Both.”

He stepped aside to let me enter. I paused just inside the front door, turning to look at him after he shut it.

“I’d like to have more,” I said, and held out the container like some sort of orphan in a musical.

“More what?” he asked, and I heard the uncertainty in his voice.

“More food and more you.”

“Are you sure, August?”

I nodded.

He gently took the container, his eyes locked with mine. “Are you one hundred percent sure? Maybe you should take more time. I’m not a prime dating candidate for you. I’m seropositive and I’m fifteen years older than you are. I can almost guarantee you that some of your friends are going to be against us seeing each other.”

“I don’t need more time and I don’t need friends who would be so judgmental. Yes, I’m one hundred percent sure. I’ve spent days reading, watching videos, and then reading more. I even talked with a medical professional. I know what I’m going to be facing—what we’re going to be facing.”

He tossed the container onto a small table at the end of the sofa. “We can never have unprotected sex. Ever. Not even once.”

“I know,” I said as want began pumping through my veins.

“If a condom breaks you could get infected.” He stared deep into my eyes.

“I know,” I replied. “I know all the bad things that can happen. I still want to date you.”

“No, you just think you know all the bad things, Aug. There’s so much you don’t know.” He sounded sad and weary.

“Then I’ll learn. Sal, I want to be with you, okay? I mean, if you don’t want to be with me, then that’s fine. I’ll just leave and you’ll never have to look at my dumb face ever—”

Sal stepped up to me without a word and pushed my back against the wall. A shocked grunt escaped me right before his mouth dropped over mine. He ran his tongue over the seam of my mouth. I let him in. He was powerful, possessive and hungry. His tongue slipped around mine as his hands found the edge of my shirt.

Breaking the kiss, he jerked my shirt upward, not caring that it caught under my chin. He just tugged harder to get the neckband free. Once the material popped free, he grabbed the shirt with both hands and held my arms over my head, the soft cotton keeping my hands off him.

“I should tell you to leave now, but I want you too bad to be noble,” he growled.

He captured my mouth again, this time letting his body lean in to me from chest to knees. My fingers slipped out of the T-shirt and I pushed them between his. Sal gyrated against me. His hard cock slid over mine. I sucked in a heated breath. He moaned, then began feasting on my neck, collarbone, and finally a nipple. He slipped his hands out of my grip and his palms, flat to my arms, slowly slithered downward.

Meet Taylor and Frank!

I’ve been a fan of actor Matthew Daddario for a while and always wanted to write his likeness into a character. I especially fond of Matthew in the role of Shadowhunter Alec Lightwood on the Shadowhunters. When I first started laying out the character Taylor, Matthew continued to pop into my head as Taylor. He’s tall, dark and handsome and the perfect fit for the story and the character.

I was a huge Sonny and Will fan until Days lost their mind and completely destroyed the couple. That was where I first saw Brant Daugherty as one of Sonny’s boyfriends. Frank is ten years older than Taylor in the story and I think that Brant and his appearance when considered age wise along side Matthew is the perfect fit.

The tentative release date for Survivor is August 1st at this time. Depending on writing, editing and scheduling I’m hoping a little sooner but that will all depend on circumstances.
