Hi BA, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself and your background.

Hey there! I’m the luckiest girl on Earth – I’m married to the woman of my dreams, I’ve got the best job in history, and I live in the New Mexico mountains. I’ve been publishing romance novels for… whoa. Many years.

Many.

I love both yours and your wife’s books. Both of you are on my top author list and favorite books!

What is your new book about?

Refired is the story of recovering alcoholic, Josh McPhee, and Kris Cerny, high-powered businessman, and rancher – two

former lovers that own a failing Austin art gallery together.

OOH, That sounds so good. I have my copy ready to read!

What is your all-time favorite songs, bands, and musicians and tell us why we should be listening to them.

You mean list my favorites today, right?

The Beatles – because HELLO! Beatles! (Yes, huge fan. I think John Lennon was magical)

George Strait – King George is Texan to the bone and the ultimate troubadour.

The Eagles – harmony. Magic and harmony. I got nothing else.

Trent Wilmon – Trent was raised by a hippy and a cowboy. He sings songs of my heart.

That’s today’s list. Tomorrow’s list will be different.

When Kris Cerny walks back into Two Spirits, the art gallery he owns with Josh McPhee, all he wants is a clean break. Austin’s booming real estate market means the building he bought years ago is worth a fortune, and with the sale, he and Josh can finally go their separate ways. They won’t be reconciling, right? Josh may be sober now, but an addict is always going to be an addict, and Kris can’t take that chance again.

Josh isn’t willing to sell. Not yet. He’s discovered a new artist in Santa Fe he knows will put Two Spirits in the black, and if he can just make a success of the gallery, maybe he can earn Kris’s respect, if not recapture his love. He needs Kris to give him time for one more buying trip, one more gallery show. Josh wants nothing more than a final chance to make things right. Kris agrees to let Josh have this last ditch effort on one condition– he wants to go along for the ride. On the way Josh hopes they’ll find the next big thing in the art world as well as peace, forgiveness, and a love he thought was lost forever.

MY REVIEW

Josh admits he is an alcoholic. He has been clean and sober for five years. The gallery is just beginning to come around when Kris walks in telling Josh he is going to sell the building. When Josh asks for a chance to bring in a newly discovered artist and prove he can make the gallery work, Kris agrees. Kris also goes along; The trip brings them closer together, but Josh just when Josh thinks things are looking up for both the gallery and his love life it all comes crashing down around him.

A hot cowboy, a sexy artist, an angsty romance written in BATortuga’s unique style? Win! Win! Win!  As usual, BA has outdone herself in unique characters.  I loved every single one of them right down to the dogs! The storyline had some angst, a great plot, dealt with a significant social issue and still was quite a humorous as well.  I nearly forgot to mention the beautiful settings in New Mexico, the fabulous food, the gallery, the B& B they stay at. Yes, so many cool settings!

I sat on the edge of my seat nibbling my nails to see how this was going to come out. There were quite a few surprises. I can’t wait to see which man or men the next book will be about.

How about a little more Refired?

Josh sat there in the office that had been his for seven years, two months, and three days, looking at the cowboy who he’d thought, once upon a time, was going to be his one and only, feeling a little like he was drunk.

He rolled the five-year-sober token between his fingers, letting it settle him. Not drunk. Not even a bit.

“What? What did you say to me?” He left off the you sorry son of a bitch part.

“We got a buyer for the gallery.” Kris stared at him, calm as could be, one hip settled on the edge of his desk.

“The gallery isn’t for sale.” He owned half, dammit. Still.

Kris nodded easily. “Frankly they just want the building. Quite an offer. I don’t see how we can pass it up.”

“The gallery isn’t for sale.” He was fairly sure the words were succinct enough for Mr. Business.

“The neighborhood has changed, Josh. It’s not a boho, arty area anymore. It’s all high-priced condos and tapas bars.” Kris’s expression softened just slightly. “I think it’s time to let it go.”

This wasn’t about the gallery. This was about them. Him and Kris.

“No.”

“Josh, please at least look at the offer.” Kris stood, straightening his fancy cattleman’s. God, he looked like a stuffed suit. Kris looked better in beat-up Wranglers.

“I’m not interested.” Josh felt like sitting down and pounding the floor with his fist. This wasn’t right. None of it. He knew he was a fuckup. Had been a fuckup. But he was working his shit out.

The gallery was back to breaking even, if not making a profit. Josh thought he deserved a chance to get some good new artists in for a show.

“Then are you going to buy me out?” Kris asked.

Fuck. Kris knew he couldn’t do that. The business finances were an open book. Josh wasn’t even taking a salary for another three years to pay back Kris’s initial investment.

“I don’t have to. We’re equal partners. All I have to do is say no.”

Kris frowned, dark brows drawing together over his bright green eyes. “Dammit, Josh, how long are you going to pretend this is going to work?”

He touched the coin again. Five years. Five years sober. Five years proving he could be trusted. Five years and it wasn’t enough.

“This gallery is my life.” Simple as that. He had no friends anymore, no one. He came to work and went to meetings. He hadn’t gone out to dinner with Kris since…. Christ. Christmas? Maybe? Had they even done Christmas?

“Then what do you want me to do? The building is really the only asset.”

“I’m going on a buying trip. Santa Fe area. Why are we even talking about this?” Why are you even here? Go find another project.

Kris was, like, the king of finance now or something. He had investments all over, could probably walk away from the gallery without even taking a money hit.

“Buying? With what? Your good looks?”

Meet tBA:

Texan to the bone and an unrepentant Daddy’s Girl, BA Tortuga spends her days with her basset hounds, getting tattooed, texting her sisters, and eating Mexican food. When she’s not doing that, she’s writing. She spends her days off watching rodeo, knitting and surfing porn sites in the name of research. BA’s personal saviors include her wife (still amazing to say that), Julia Talbot, her best friend, Sean Michael, and coffee. Lots of coffee. Really good coffee.

Having written everything from fist-fighting rednecks to hard-core cowboys to werewolves, BA does her damnedest to tell the stories of her heart, which was raised in Northeast Texas, but has gone to the high desert mountains and fallen in love. With books ranging from hard-hitting GLBT romance, to fiery ménages, to the most traditional of love stories, BA refuses to be pigeon-holed by anyone but the voices in her head.

BLURB: Tellumo Magnamater is a fresh-out-of-college, first-year English teacher at Salt Lick County High School in Kentucky. He rides the bus to and from work, and every day he walks to the gym behind his small efficiency apartment to exercise. Perhaps because of being raised by two lesbians, Tellumo is attracted to older men. He sets his sights on fifty-something available bachelor Oliver Crumbly. But Tellumo isn’t the only resident interested in Oliver.

Peggy Tucker, a widow approaching her sixtieth birthday, is determined to marry again, and she thinks Oliver is her perfect match. Despite Tellumo and Peggy striking up a friendship at the gym, neither realizes they are interested in the same man. But the joke might be on both of them. Oliver, a retired history teacher, is the original crotchety old man who hates everything and everybody—especially young people.

Tellumo has just moved to a new, small town in Kentucky. He is throwing himself into work ad worried he isn’t doing well enough. The only recreation he has is the gym after school, and occasional visits from his best friend, Melody. Raised by two moms he credits that for his affinity for older men. He has his eye on one in the Gym, but the Sliver Fox seems to avoid him.

Tellumo befriends a sweet older woman he met in the gym; little does he know she is trying to get the attention of the same man.

Oliver has decided five bad relationships are enough and is trying to enjoy his retirement. He is the epitome of a crotchety older man: fussing and griping about everyone and everything. The thing that bothers him the most is the younger generation always on their fancy phones.

This story was a laugh a minute. It is also one you need to make time to read in one sitting because you won’t want to put it down.

Whippersnapper is a character driven story about three people, Tellumo,  Peggy, and Oliver. You get a well-written story about how these three meet, how their lives intertwine and a lot of surprises along the way. It is a feel-good story with no sexual content and lots of laughs. I laughed so much my hubby must’ve thought I was nuts.

Though it’s not exactly a romance towards the end there is a little bit of romance; I highly recommend this story.

If you like funny stories with lots of interesting characters, unique main characters, humor with a touch of romance, you will love this book!

Whippersnapper: More Fun than a Barrel of Monkeys

Before I wrote Whippersnapper, I had no idea how hard writing my first three novels had been. They’re set in the past, in real places, with a lot of historical references. Making sure all the details were correct was a ton of work.

Whippersnapper takes place in Fallisville, a fictional town in Central Kentucky. Fact-checking wasn’t an issue. Everything in the story is made up.

Well, not everything. That’s what makes writing fiction so much fun. Only the author knows what’s made up and what’s real.

Tellumo Magnamater is consumed by the demands of his first job, teaching English at Salt Lick County High. A daily trip to the gym relieves stress and keeps him healthy. For months he’s admired an attractive older man he calls the Silver Fox he sees at the Fit as a Fiddle gym.

The Silver Fox is Oliver Crumbly, a retired history teacher who, after a string of failed relationships, finds himself alone again. Other than grocery stores and doctor’s offices, the gym is the only place he ever goes. The whippersnapper (Tellumo) represents everything Oliver hates about the younger generation.

Peggy Tucker is a widow with a thankless job at the Salt Lick County Department of Motor Vehicles. She joined the gym to lose twenty pounds in hopes of finding a husband. She sets her sights on Oliver too. She doesn’t know much about him, but he’s just about the only eligible bachelor in Fallisville.

Things have changed a lot in my lifetime. Some go along, some don’t. Tech-savvy Tellumo is the future. Oliver holds on to the old technology and the way things used to be with every fiber of his being. Peggy dabbles with technology, but is behind the times and constrained by her meager income.

The premise still makes me laugh, and I had a blast writing the story. Some moments make me laugh out loud no matter how many times I read them. Some scenes still make me cry, so keep a tissue handy.

Excerpt

Oliver Crumbly watched the Salt Lick County snowplow scrape the street in front of his house with a mixture of satisfaction and relief. Ten days of complaining had finally paid off. Two feet of snow had fallen in the day or two leading up to Christmas. A week later, before plows or salt trucks had reached Thoroughbred Acres, another six inches had fallen.

He’d been trapped at home since Christmas Eve. Worn treads had kept his Taurus from getting any traction on the flat street in front of his house. Driving out of the hilly subdivision would have been impossible.

Bill Pinkley, head meteorologist for local Channel 13, said El Nino or El Nina had caused the winter storm. Oliver couldn’t remember which, or why what happened so far away made a difference in the weather in Northern Kentucky, but if Bill Pinkley said so, it must be true. Heeding his advice to stock up on groceries ahead of the first flurries had kept Oliver from running out of food.

Thirty inches was a lot of snow to have fallen in a week’s time, and Calumet Circle was in the back of Thoroughbred Acres. Still, ten days was too long to wait for snow removal. Calls to the county road department had fallen on deaf ears. The surly customer service representative had hung up on him—four times. Miss Bethany Williams, Customer Service Representative II, was about to learn messing with Oliver Crumbly was a mistake. He’d mailed a lengthy letter detailing her incompetence and rude behavior to the director of the county road department with copies to the mayor, Oliver’s representative on the city council, and the Kentucky and U.S. Departments of Transportation.

Too bad Kevin Leonard had missed the blizzard. For eight years, Oliver’s ex had complained about the lack of winter snow. But then, nothing in Kentucky had suited Kevin. He’d grown up in the upper Midwest, where life was better in every way. Eight years of Kevin’s delusions of grandeur, condescending attitude, and manufactured facts had been a good four too many.

Oliver didn’t miss him one little bit. Not anymore. He dropped into his recliner, turned on the television, and flipped to the TV Guide Channel. His forty-eight-year-old ex had returned to North Dakota last February to live with his parents, and according to a mutual friend, was still unemployed. Because Mr. and Mrs. Leonard had often driven their camper down to Kentucky for weeklong visits, Oliver knew them a lot better than he’d have preferred. In his opinion, the sorry son and his parents deserved each other.

The viewing options scrolling on the screen at a snail’s pace failed to keep his attention, and his mind wandered. Falling for the wrong guys was Oliver’s gift. The first time his heart had been broken, he’d believed he would die. But he’d lived to love again… and again… and again… and again. Five times he’d survived a broken heart and the end of yet another relationship gone bad. Getting over kicking men out of his life had grown easier with experience. After Kevin left, Oliver’s battle-scarred heart had healed in record-breaking time.

Cat’s Meow ~~Kindle Alexander ~~ Full Domain

Title: Full Domain

Series: Nice Guys Novel #3

Author: Kindle Alexander

Genre: M/M Romance

Published: January 12, 2016

Honor, integrity, and loyalty are how Deputy US Marshal Kreed Sinacola lives his life. A former SEAL now employed by the Special Operations Group of the US Marshal Service, Kreed spent most of his life working covert operations and avoiding relationships. Never one to mix business with pleasure, his boundaries blur and his convictions are put to the test when he finally comes face-to-face with the hot computer geek he’s been partnered with. Hell-bent on closing the ongoing case for his longtime friend, he pushes past his own limits and uncovers more than he expects.

Aaron Stuart strives for one thing: justice. Young and full of idealism, his highly sought after computer skills land him a position with the National Security Agency. Aaron’s biggest hazard at his job is cramped fingers, but all that changes when he is drawn into the middle of a dangerous federal investigation. Aaron gets more than he bargained for when the FBI partners him with a handsome and tempting deputy US marshal. His attraction to the inked up, dark-haired man provides another kind of threat altogether. Aaron tries desperately to place a firewall around his heart and fight his developing feelings, knowing one misstep on his part could ultimately destroy him.

The solution isn’t as easy as solving the case, which is treacherous enough as it is. But the growing sexual attraction between them threatens to derail more than just Kreed’s personal convictions as he quickly learns temptation and matters of the heart rarely fit easily into the rules he’s lived by. Will Kreed be able to convince Aaron to open his heart and face the fact that sometimes the answers aren’t always hidden in code?

unnamed
5 meows 5 purrs(so hot out may set you reader on fire)
This is book three in a series. You probably should read in order but I didn’t and it stood alone pretty well. There are lots of characters from previous books and you could tell Aaron and Kreed had been in the others as well but I enjoyed the book and didn’t have a lot of issues following the story. I do want to read the first two now.
Kreed is a big bad marshal that most men find intimidating. large, dark, mysterious and tattooed he is the kind that commands attention when walking in a room. He has a great but instinct and that is what helps him do his job so well.
Aaron is a gamer and hacker that got busted when he was young, now works for N S A to help them find holes in their security. He finds himself forced into helping Kreed with a case . He wants no part in being paired with the sexy Marshall.
I can’t get into details of the case or say much else without creating spoilers for the last books. I loved these Characters. They are both hot and have a secret past. Kreed is the epitome of the classic hero. Sexy, mysterious with a good heart. I like Aaron even better. He is also tall and dark but quirky with an outgoing, take -no-crap attitude. He wasn’t intimidated by Kreed at all. Flustered yes. The sexual dynamics between the two were scorching hot as was the actual sex.
The storyline was fast- paced and intriguing, the blend making this a can’t- stop reading story.
I highly recommend this book if you like action, suspense, angst, lawmen, computer genious, and smoking hot man-sex.
I received a copy for an honest review

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.

Review: 3 meows-4 puurs (hot sexual content)

Nate fell in love with his brother’s best friend at the tender age of 15. He was his first and only love. On a trip to the family cabin with his brother, brother’s girlfriend and Quinn, the plan for  Nate was to seduce Quinn tell him how he felt and see what happens. Quinn’s plan was to tell him how he felt but keep his distance until he could commit to him.  The attraction being too strong they wound up in bed, and Quinn snuck out without an explanation leaving Nate devasted.

Quinn’s plan was to tell him how he felt but keep his distance until he could commit to him.  The attraction being too strong they wound up in bed, and Quinn snuck out without an explanation leaving Nate devasted.

This book had a  strong storyline with a holiday theme, friends to lovers and first love. It was also extremely hot and sexy.  I loved all the above themes and felt the story did them justice. What I didn’t like was the reason Quinn stole off in the middle of the night, though an honorable thing just wasn’t reason enough not to tell Nate the truth and avoid all this hurt.

Now having said that… the story wasn’t about that issue ( I

would have liked to have known more about that part of Quinn’s life though)it was about getting

Nate back into his life and making amends.

I think the story was great, just compacted into too few a words. I would have also liked to have known how Nate ended up in his brother’s apartment in LA and Brandon’s Girlfriend back home pregnant and Brandon and Faith not married and living together.  I think this would have made a great longer story and worth the read.

If you like friends-to-lovers, first-love, second chances, holiday story, snowstorms, and some steamy hot man-sex, this is for you.

Meet Teodora Kostova: Hi, my name is Teodora, and I live in London with my husband and my son. I’ve been writing ever since I can remember, but it became my full-time job in 2010 when I decided that everything else I’ve tried bores me to death, and I have to do what I’ve always wanted to do, but never had the guts to embrace fully. I’ve been a journalist, an editor, a personal assistant and an interior designer among other things, but as soon as the novelty of the new, exciting job wears off, I always go back to writing. Being twitchy, impatient, loud and hasty are not qualities that help a writer, because I have to sit alone, preferably still, and write for most of the day, but I absolutely love it. It’s the only time that I’m truly at peace and the only thing I can do for more than ten minutes at a time – my son has a bigger attention span than me.
When I’m procrastinating, I like to go to the gym, cook Italian meals (and eat them), read, listen to rock music, watch indie movies and True Blood re-runs. Or, in the worst case scenario, get beaten at every Wii game by a very inventive kid

AuthorInterview

Hi, Ya’ll! Today I am so excited to get to spend the day in the office with V.L. Locey. Do ya want to tag along and meet V.L.?

Hi, V.L. Thank you so much for letting me tag along with you today.

Do you have a regular day job(or night) or write full time? I’m fortunate enough to be a full-time writer now.

When do you usually write? My best time to write is in the morning, generally between 8 and 12 am.

How do you usually begin your day? Coffee, a shower, morning chores (we live on a small hobby farm and have 3 steers and assorted poultry to attend to) followed by breakfast then writing.

Do you eat breakfast before you go to work?  I do eat breakfast yes. Most generally it’s a bagel with cream cheese.

Sitting at a desk all day can make you stiff and achy. Do you have an exercise routine? Yes! I started practicing yoga about 8 months ago. I try to hit the mat daily but some weeks I only can squeeze in 3 or 4 practices.

Do you have an office? Where do you usually write? Well, I don’t have an office really. We live in a very small house so I work at the kitchen table. It’s a big table that sits in front of a huge Eastern bow window, so every morning when I sit down to write, I get to witness the sun coming up.

Ooh that sounds awesome! Don’t mind me. I’ll just sit in the corner quietly while you work.  What are you working on today? I’m just starting a brand new novella, an M/M gay holiday story, called Santa on Skates.

*sneaks over peaking over—shoulder*  Sorry but I don’t even have an excerpt yet. I’m just now laying out character bios.

This  sounds good! What inspired this story? Any real events or people? It was inspired by real events at a recent ECHL hockey game I attended with my family. The characters are purely fictional.

Do you outline or are you a panster? I am 100% an organic writer, or a pantser as some like to call us. I sketch out character bios, and then the story and characters take me where the story needs to go.

Do you find pictures of your characters, write up bios for them? Yes, sometimes I do find pictures for them. I like to fiddle with storyboards over on Pinterest so lots of my books and the inspiration for various characters can be found there.

*something wet brushes against my hand…looking down I see the cutest little coondog.* Ahhh Whats her name!  Maisy she is our 8-month-old coonhound pup.

“Toss Maisy’s tennis ball. She loves that!” V.L. says.

Ok, sorry, they don’t call me chatty Cathy for nothing. I will take off and let you finish your story. Thank you for letting me spend the day with you.

Good  luck on your release

BLURB: Authors know that their muse is a fickle creature. Best-selling spy novelist Stephen Ramsey has been in a hate-hate relationship with his inspiration for months. When Stephen’s publisher lays a legal ultimatum upon him, with a rapidly approaching deadline, he knows he must do something to kick-start his creativity or face the unemployment line. His daughter comes up with a possible answer: a summer camp for the creative soul. With nothing to lose, Stephen packs up his laptop, phonograph and beloved record albums and heads from Greenwich Village to the Catskill Mountains.

There, among a horde of college students attending for extra credits, is Declan Pomeroy, a photographer of fey creatures who is twenty-two years younger than Stephen. The woods are a magical place, and he quickly finds himself falling under the spell of the free-spirited photographer. Confusion wars with desire inside Stephen as he succumbs to the feelings welling up inside. But, sadly, summer camp always has to end. Can a man who has just found himself really leave the person that makes his heart sing?

Excerpt

Then he appeared from the tree line, a lithe, pale creature of the Finnish goddess Mielikki’s woods if ever I had seen one. Yay for that semester of world mythology back in college finally paying off. Declan wore nothing but a scrap of linen tied around his lean waist and a camera around his neck. I swallowed and stepped down off the porch, anxious to get closer to him. He waited patiently for me. As I drew closer, I could hear him humming. A smile tweaked my lips. It was Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered.

“You look like you have too much on,” Declan announced when I stood in front of him. I glanced down at my attire. Gym shorts, a T-shirt, and sneakers sans socks. “How would you feel about doing this nude?” My sight knifed back from my clothes to my guide into the Twilight Zone.

“You’re not naked,” I pointed out once I could speak around the knot of desire clogging my throat.

“I usually am, but I figured you’d be far too uptight to not have clothes on, so, I fashioned a makeshift chiton to cover my goodies.”

“Okay. Yes, I’m not comfortable with our goodies hanging out.” He glanced up at the fat moon over our heads, then sighed dramatically. “I can do no shirt and no shoes, however.”

Declan’s gaze returned to me from Madame Luna. He made a sort of cooing sound then rose to his tiny toes to press his lips to mine. It was a soft peck, our mouths touching for a mere second, but it did things to my perceptions of who Steven Ramsey is that I still cannot fully explain.

“I think I’d like to see you without a shirt,” he whispered over my lips.

“What are you doing?” I croaked. He shrugged a shoulder, then dropped back down to stand flat-footed. “Stop it, okay? I’m old enough to be your father.”

He smiled then spun around, his bare back gleaming pure white. I wanted to touch his skin, trace the knobs of his spine with my tongue. This whole thing was pure insanity, yet I hurried to strip off my old T-shirt and kick off my sneakers. Declan glanced over his shoulder, smiled again, and then rushed off into the night, the coquette. I followed because what else could I do? Not traipsing after the kid was impossible. The grass was cool and wet under my bare soles. The high whine of a mosquito zipped past my ear. I would be nothing but a massive bug bite in the morning. I walked behind Declan, swatting at the air, hoping I didn’t step on something that would require stitches or a tetanus shot. We stepped into the woods. I debated going back for my shoes.

“We have to be as silent as possible,” Declan, standing on my right, whispered.

“Shoes are quiet,” I replied, my hand resting on the scraggy bark of an old pine.

“Shoes don’t allow you to touch the earth.”

“They also don’t allow thorns to penetrate your flesh,” I parried. My guide grunted in consternation then set off once again. A million questions bounced around my head as I tenderly placed one foot down then the other. What kind of camera did he use? Was there a special ethereal film for capturing fey? Did I need therapy? Did I just step on a slug?

We walked deeper into the woods. The farther we traveled, the more I wanted to speak up or at least scoff. I was working on a good zinger when I ran into Declan’s bare back. He threw up a hand to silence me. My body tightened from a weird combination of fear and desire. The kid felt wonderful pressed against my chest, his clammy skin resting against mine. I peered over his head, my hand coming to rest on his left hip. Declan leaned back into me just the slightest bit. My cock began to swell. My eyelids drifted down as he wiggled enticingly closer still.

“Look at the hazy ring around the moon,” Declan whispered. My fingers dug into his bony hip. I opened my eyes and looked up. We were on the edge of a small glen. He lifted up his camera and snapped several images as I stared at the milky white fingers of magic tickling the moon. “Now look at the ground.” I did. There, in the center of the small glen, was a small, perfectly circular ring of mushrooms perhaps ten feet wide. “That’s known as a fairy ring.”

“Huh,” I grunted, my body trying desperately to take over the show. Declan had to feel my erection resting against his pert ass. He seemed perfectly as ease with a hard dick between his buttocks. I, on the other hand, was slowly going mad. I longed to lower my mouth to his neck and lick the sweat from his skin. I also wanted to run away screaming to the world that I was not a faggot, but was I? It certainly looked it. Declan lowered his camera and took a few shots of the white mushrooms.

“I’ve heard tales of the fey blessing those who stand in a fairy ring under a full moon. Would you like to go stand in the ring, Steven?” he asked. I nodded. He slid out of my grasp and reached back to find my hand. His fingers were thinner than mine. He pulled me into the glen. I glanced up, then back. “Are you afraid that someone will see us cuddling in the fairy ring?”

“At the moment,” I stepped carefully over several large mushrooms,” I’m afraid of everything, mostly you.”

BookReview

Steven is a best-selling author going through a third divorce and stuck in a writing slump. His publisher is breathing down his neck making it harder to write. His daughter Liza suggests he goes to a writing camp n the Catskills to get his creative juices flowing. That’s not all that begins flowing. Declan is a very artistic, unique individual that captures Steven’s interest ad becomes his muse.

I was looking for a fresh, romantic story and this one was perfect. I fell in love with Declan from the moment he bound onto Steven’s porch. He is a very fresh unique character. The descriptions were spot on. I also liked the plot of the story though it’s a predictable sweet romance, I love the older man/ younger man trope and have a soft spot for gay-for-you stories.

If you like gay-for-you, May/December, sweet romance with some moderate man-sex this is a must read.
I received this book free for an honest review.
