Cat’s Meow~~Reviews That Purrr—Resurfaced by Leslie Lee Sanders

Cats meow reviews that purr

Hi Y’all. It’s been a crazy week for me with fall approaching my allergies have kicked in and I have been dealing with a flea issue, so lots of spraying in the house. Bad for my allergies and asthma. Good that I get to lay down afterward and read all afternoon and evening.

I was thrilled this week when my friend and one of my favorite authors contacted me and asked if I would like a review copy of Resurfaced. I squealed in delight. Scared the cats to death,  but man was I happy.

For those of you that don’t know Leslie, she is the author of a fabulous LGBT dystopian, Post-apocalypse series called Refuge Inc.

Resurfaced is a standalone story.

Title: Resurfaced

Series: (Refuge Inc. Series) A standalone of the Refuge Inc. series

Author: Leslie Lee Sanders

Genre: lgbt, Post-apocalyptic, dystopian

Pages: 63

Abut the book:

Given a rare chance at sanctuary inside the subterranean Refuge facility, Damien and Patrick were lucky to survive the cataclysmic asteroid impact that left the world a dark, toxic wasteland. But has their luck finally run out?

Chosen to confront the devastation above on a mission that can save the future of mankind, they emerge but quickly realize they might be unable to safely return to their comforts, their families, and the only home they’ve known since impact.

Will developing a bond and building trust aid them when using their skills as a botanist and engineer to find a living plant? Will finding a plant be the key to returning to their home beneath the surface? Or will unearthing Refuge Inc. secrets be their downfall?

You can buy resurfaced at Amazon:

The stars of the show–oops– I mean book were Damien a botanist and Patrick is an engineer. They lived in Refuge Inc. and were sent out on a special Mission.

There weren’t any characters that stole my heart. Damien and Patrick are the only two in the book though some are mentioned. Damien keeps mentioning his son Connor and I hope to see his story soon.

This is a very short book without a lot of plot or action. It is a bit dark and very much based on the emotions of these two men.

The most memorable event for me was the end so I can’t tell you what it is. The story is short so read it and see. It will bring tears to your eyes.

The one thing that I didn’t like so much was that the story is so short I never really got a chance to know who these two men really were and the full extent of why they are on this mission. I would have loved this book to have been a little longer.  The entire premise of finding life outside Refuge Inc. was very intriguing and I wouldn’t have minded spending another hour or so with these men.

Resurfaced is part of the refuge Inc. series. Though it is not required to read in order if you have read the other books you would understand what Refuge Inc. is and the references to the legends. Plus it’s a good post-apocalyptic series if you’re looking for a new one to read.

If you like an emotional, heart wrenching dystopian story, and post-apocalypse You will like this.

* I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review *

On Tour With Jean Joachim and Devon Drake Cornerback

TITLE – Devon Drake – Cornerback

SERIES – First & Ten Series
AUTHOR – Jean Joachim
GENRE – Sports Romance, Contemporary Romance

About the BOOK

Devon Drake, star cornerback, has it all: hot super model girlfriend and pro football career, or does he? A childhood friend wanders back into his life, upsetting his ideal existence. Is it finally time to tell her the truth about what happened fifteen years ago?

Stormy Gregory is on the run from an abusive man. Her best friend offers her a safe place at the shelter for abused women and children. Grateful to be out of harm’s way, Stormy helps with a charitable event, not expecting to run into Devon Drake, her friend’s brother. Will she run again rather than face rejection?

Cracks in his perfect world threaten the cornerback’s starting lineup status. An unwelcome surprise short-circuits Stormy’s attempt to build a new life. Can they pull together or will the secret that separates the former friends keep them on a downward spiral?

A little extra glimpse

But the last thing Stormy wanted was to hang around Devon Drake any longer than necessary. He had filled out since high school with pure muscle. Like Chutes and Ladders, Devon Drake had taken the big ladder from handsome to gorgeous. Hanging around might mean the revival of old feelings, leaving her vulnerable to rejection again. It was destined to happen, since he had a hot, high-powered girlfriend. Stormy needed to watch her step. He wasn’t available, but nobody had told her heart that.

He sat up, his gaze glued to her. She hummed the tune “The Stripper” as she unzipped and peeled off her jacket. The man slid his chair closer to the window. She began to dance slowly. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see people on the sidewalk had stopped moving. She took a deep breath and eased her sweater up as slowly as possible.

Now, the man in the headphones was gesturing and talking. The others in the room turned to stare. Stormy kept humming and dancing. She was getting into it. Ignoring the cold, she pulled her sweater over her head, twirled it around, and flung it at a man standing nearby. He caught it and applauded.

My Review

Stars of the Show–oops– I mean book: Devon Drake, of course, is the leading man. He is a sexy cornerback that has been distracted and not focusing on his game. He has put on some weight  and losing speed on the field. He needs to get his head back in the game but how?

Bring in Stormy the leading lady. She grew up with Devon and his sister Samantha. Devon is surprised to see Stormy in Monroe in the women’s shelter. Will she be able to get him back in shape or will she just be another distraction?

There are lots of other characters in this book. I do love multi-character stories and bringing these in from the other books and giving us more of their stories add to the realness of the story. so if you have read the other books but not this one yet…here is good reason. If you haven’t read any, read this then I promise you will want to go get the other three!

Characters that stole my heart:  I have a thing for animals so toss one in and I am a sucker. Brody is a pug that Stormy rescues and I can see how he stole her heart.

I also like older characters and we have a very interesting pair here.  Buddy has a widowed mom that helps him out and Griff’s dad came to help out Lauren. Hmmm…is there more to this story? Another good reason to check this out!

What I thought About Devon: I thought Devon was arrogant, selfish and stubborn. He treats his sister like a baby. Yes, being protective is good but overprotective? Though he shows this he is not unlikeable. You can see he has a good heart. I love a man that needs to redeem himself and man does he in a big way.

Memorable event- Stormy: I think Stormy stole the show when she went to the TV station to clear Devons name. The scene is the excerpt above so read it and see what an amazing woman this girls is. She corners the market on what a girl would do for the man she loves.

Memorable Event-Devon: I have to say this man redeem himself in a big way. When he let go his feelings man did he let go. I think his proposal was one of the cutest I have ever read.  What do mud pies have to do with a proposal? You need to read this book just for this!

The one thing that I didn’t like so much: There is a lot of technical football stuff. There are two games that has a lot of play by play action. Yes, I do agree the scenes need to be there and are very vital to the book, I just felt they could have been a little bit shorter like just one vital play per scene. I did skim through these two scenes a little. If you are a real big football fan this will not bother you at all.

This is part of  a series. Each book stands alone pretty well, but I will warn you this one has scenes from all the other books. They are done well enough you do know who they are and able to follow that part of the story.

If you love a good sweet, sensually sexy romance, sports romance pugs, and football this is definitely for you!

Meet Stormy

Stormy Gregory – Life hadn’t been easy for Stormy Gregory. The fighting between her parents drove her to seek the friendship of the two kids down the block, Samantha and Devon Drake.

Stormy continued her friendship with Devon and became Samantha’s shadow in high school. Until he broke her heart. They went their separate ways.

After getting her degree in nutrition, Stormy found a job far from home in Bolton, Illinois. She worked part-time in two senior centers, planning meals. She found success and friendship there with the older crowd, and a little romance with the director.

An old acquaintance from high school looked her up, seeking help finding a job and a new start. She did what she could, but resisted his advances. He became hostile, then violent, forcing her to flee.

Not knowing where to turn, Stormy contacted her old friend, Samantha Drake. Sam made space for her friend in the shelter where she volunteered. During an event, she bumped into Devon Drake.

Stormy hadn’t expected the encounter. It had been fifteen years since she’d seen him. Instead of hating him for past hurts, warm feelings resurfaced. Stormy pushed them down, figuring she couldn’t compete with a super model. Simply being near Devon Drake made her pulse jump. She needed to get away, but the man who had hit her showed up at her door. She had nowhere to go, or did she?

10  Things You  don’t know about Devon but do now

Chocolate or vanilla? Strawberry, actually.

Airplane or train?    Airplane. Love the take-off, kind of like sex. Can I say that?

Walking or driving? Driving. Preferably a Maserati.

Red or Blue?              Blue, like the ocean.

Country or Rock?     Rock. 80’s rock.

Dog or cat?                 Pug – Brodie. Smart, obedient pup.

Lemonade or Iced Tea?  Texas Iced Tea.

Vodka or Whiskey?    Gin. Or vodka.

Mounds or Almond Joy? Who’s mounds? (laughs)

Action movies or Thrillers? Bruce Willis or Will Ferrell movies.

Meet the Author Jean Joachim

I asked her what top 10 favorite places to visit and why

These are all places I haven’t been:

Italy/Spain – No one needs a reason to visit Italy! After seeing “Under the Tuscan Sun”, I’ve been dying to get to Italy. What a beautiful and romantic place! Spain is also beautiful and after having studied the language for umpteen million years, I would love to go there and practice.

Ireland/Scotland – I’m drooling to see the gorgeous countryside, eat the great food and mix with some of the nicest, friendliest people on Earth. Never heard a bad thing about these two countries. They are tops on my list, even though I might need a translator!

Alaska – Though I hate the cold, I love the beauty of the snow and ice of Alaska. How wonderful to take a cruise and sail by the glacial art all around you. I’ll bundle up, sit back and be transported into another world.

Israel – My Jewish roots and the amazing struggle and resilience of Israel call to me. The history,  antiquity of the land are fascinating. And how strange and wonderful to be in a place where those who believe as I do are in the majority.

New Orleans – I love Dixieland music and to see where it all began, the birthplace of jazz is a must.  The food, the culture, the music entice me. It seems a romantic place where there might be a story or two waiting for me.

Buenos Aires – Speaking of stories – Buenos Aires has always been a place of mystery in my mind. It’s a place where post WWII spies and war criminals went to hide out, start over and disappear and those who hunted them crept in, seeking justice. See? Already I have stories swirling. I must visit and see if I can find any mysterious places to start a book.

Monaco – I’d guess that for sheer elegance, there’s no place finer to visit than Monaco. The center of grace and style in Europe, this legendary fairyland has called to me ever since the beautiful Grace Kelly became the reigning Queen. I’ll be careful not to bet heavily. I’d be more interested in observing the people than losing my money.

The Riviera – Again, wealth, beauty, gorgeous scenery, the Mediterranean, how could you think your travels complete without inventing a few tales on the Riviera coastline?

The Galapagos – Swim with the dolphins, observe the turtles, tortoises and all the wonderful wildlife there. I’m a serious nature lover and this trip is definitely on my schedule.

South Africa – I’m so curious to see where diamonds come from and where there was so much racial strife that brought about equality. This land is steeped in history and, from what I hear, beauty.

These are only ten places I wish to visit. I have at least that many right here in the U.S.A., too.  I’m going to have to live at least two lifetimes to see them all. But oh, what fun to be traveling and checking another one off my list!

Jean Joachim is a best-selling romance fiction author, with books hitting the Amazon Top 100 list since 2012. The Renovated Heart won Best Novel of the Year from Love Romances Café. Back in the Lair with Ellie Mack–Red Wine and Roses

Hello everyone! Life has been so crazy but today I am back in the lair with my good friend the lovely Ellie Mack with her first ever release Red Wine and Roses!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to our lair!  I cant’s believe it’s already September.  Today’s victim-oops- guest is my dear friend .

author photo 008

*Muses escort in Ellie, offers  PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE AND BLUEBERRY MUFFIN.  Then escorts them to a cozy seat in the Gazebo.

Cathy: *hugs, takes seat* Hello Ellie. Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to have a chat with me. How are you today?

Ellie: Fantastic!  I had an allergy attack a few weeks ago, which developed into a sinus infection, so after much sinus gunk –  it’s great to be able to breathe!!

Cathy: Tell our readers a little about yourself?

Ellie: I live near ST. Louis, have two grown daughters and have been married for 30 years.  I was a child bride, really.  NO seriously I was.   My day job is account executive for a wholesale mortgager, basically I am the answer lady online.  Writing is far more interesting.  In real life the most exciting thing I do is try new recipes and crochet.

Cathy What made you decide you wanted to become a writer?

Ellie:  I would read a story and  think to myself,  this should have gone this way instead.  When I was in 4th grade I think I rewrote Robin Hood to suit my ideas.  IT was pathetic,  but  that was sort of my starting point.

Cathy: What genres do you normally write?

Ellie: Romance, paranormal, action adventure, murder mystery . . . whatever I feel at the time. My first book is romance – Red Wine & Roses – pure romance.

Cathy: Where do you get your inspiration?

Ellie: Various places.  This one was inspired by a photograph that I wrote a flash fiction piece for,  then it developed into a short story,   then the characters still demanded more attention. I think Derek is finally satisfied now that more of his story has been told.  He insisted that he didn’t get a fair shake in the short version.

Cathy: How many books do you have out?

Ellie:  Just the one so far published by EEB, but I have many more in the works. Red Wine & Roses – True love conquers all, unless an ex-girlfriend is involved.

BLURB: Julia Mathers has had bad dates, but the blind date for a New Year’s Eve party takes the cake. Derek Snow, a sexy ambitious lawyer has definite plans for his future and a relationship is the furthest thing from his mind.

From their first meeting, the fireworks fly as the embers of passion ignite into a blazing inferno. Until Derek’s ex, a fashion model has designs of her own.

As Julia works to overcome her insecurities, Derek realizes a love he can’t deny, but is he too late?

Red Wine & Roses takes the reader on a treacherous journey of love, betrayal, heartbreak and self-discovery.

Cathy:   Do you have a favorite character from your story and why?

Ellie:  Oddly enough, Gloria Snow.  You know how in some stories a side character just seems to steal the show?   Gloria has chutzpa!  You know when she has taken center stage, because she carries such a presence. She is a strong woman that is nobody’s lackey.   I may at some future point develop her story, because trust me, she has a whopper.

Cathy:  Do you plan any other stories in any other genres?

Ellie: OH yes!  I have a long list of projects.  I am currently revising Valkyries Curse – a paranormal thriller and I have the bulk of a story that is dear to my heart, Roxy Sings the Blues. That one is a coming of age type story. I got to flex my writer’s muscles in this one, tapping into writing the emotional scenes as well as thought provoking imagery. There is just something gratifying about this story for me.  Red Wine & Roses gave me the chance to practice some of the things I’ve preached on my blog about purple prose, and writing “those” scenes.  Each one has it’s own reward to me as the writer, I only hope that the reader will enjoy them!

Cathy: Do you have an Everyday job or are you a fulltime writer?

Ellie:  I have a regular job, working for a wholesale mortgager.

Cathy: What do you do in your spare time?

Ellie:  Spare time.  You crack me up!!  Let’s see, wife, mother, employee, author, teacher, blogger –  nope I don’t see any spare time scheduled until 2018.

Dark muse:   Imagine being in a room with your worse fear. What would it be?

Ellie:  It would be in an aquarium with octopus.  I hate octopus.  They are the single creepiest thing on the planet. Have you ever seen those documentaries where this humungous octopus can squeeze into a 3 inch pipe? And they showed where they are smart too. A monster that can squeeze itself into the smallest space, with tentacles and intelligence . . . doesn’t that sound like the worst horror ever?

Dark muse: Would you rather be with a Vampire or werewolf?

Ellie: Vampire –   a werewolf would shed and that would just be more stuff to have to clean. Plus I would smell like dog. That’s ok when I pet Ginger, but not on a full-time basis.

Dark muse: Would you say you are more Angel or demon?

Ellie: 100 percent angel, why would you even have to ask?

Naughty Muse:  What is your worst bad habit?

Ellie:  I don’t have any bad habits. * tries to look innocent*

Ok well, that was an obvious fail. Hmmm, procrastination, wasting time,  not thinking about food until I am famished,  not stopping to drink until  I have cotton mouth,   not putting laundry away right away then having to load it back in the basket  for the next day when it’s bedtime . . . shall I continue??

Naughty Muse: What is one of you most embarrassing moments?

Ellie: Only one?  Gee which one shall it be? Probably the most recent would be an incident with my work.  A customer’s misunderstanding landed me in a whole lot of hot water.

Sweet muse:  If you were a type of cookie what kind would you be?

Ellie: A Ranger cookie. It’s a brown sugar cookie base like a chocolate chip, with chocolate chips,  chopped nuts, coconut, and rice krispies in it.  A taste explosion of different textures, tastes and goodness!

Sweet muse:  Who is your favorite author? Do you consider them an influence in your writing?

Ellie: Wow that changes with my moods.  Currently I’d have to say Gena Showalter.  I don’t think she has influenced me, other than making me want to write a better story. Longtime favorite – Clive Cussler.  He writes fascinating tales.

Sweet muse: What is your favorite thing about Fall?

Ellie: Cooler weather! Missouri summers are miserable.  The colors – I love taking a drive through the country side when the leaves have turned. You’ll see several pictures posted on my Facebook page.

Childlike Muse: What is your favorite food?

Ellie: Probably fried chicken!  I don’t eat it as often as I would like to.  Something about that fried crispy coating, moist chicken meat. But the calories – Oh my.  I’ll pick up fried chicken strips at the deli (breast meat because it’s a few less calories than dark) and slice them up on top of a salad. That way I get my wholesome nutritious food that is calorie conscious with a taste of what I love and it’s not too much.  Now I’m hungry.

Childlike muse: What is your favorite song?

Ellie: My favorite songs change as often as the weather around here.  Currently my favorite is Budapest and Celtic instrumental that I have on when I am writing.

Cathy:  You said you had something special for me today. Care to share that now?

YES!  We had talked about playlists and I agreed to share with you the TOP 9 songs that I have on my playlist while writing Red Wine & Roses.  Why not TOP 10?  Because on the day that we talked about it, it was 9 days until my book debut.

So, without further ado . . . my top 9 songs:

Righteous Brothers – Unchained Melody

8: Shania Twain – From This Moment

Nickelback – Far Away

Basia – Time and Tide
(Yeah, I know it’s an old one,  but for some reason  I just really like the beat and synchronicity of this one.)

Aerosmith – I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing

Evanescence –My Immortal

Rita Coolidge – Higher and Higher

George Ezra – Budapest

  1. Rob Thomas – Fallin’ To Pieces, How Far We’ve Come, Smooth, 3AM , Trust You . . . . OK you got me. My number one spot is a playlist of Rob Thomas songs  because . . . well, Rob Thomas.  IF I had to pick just one Rob Thomas song It would be Smooth. I know it’s Santana’s song,  but it’s my favorite that Rob Thomas has done.

Cathy:  Thank you for taking the time to join us today! It’s been a blast! We hope you come back and visit again soon!! Good luck with Red Wine & Roses.

You can add it to Goodreads:

Here is a little sip of Red Wine and Roses:

Rated R:

He leaned forward kissing the soft skin of her tummy above her belly button as he eased the jeans down over her thighs, steadying her so she could step out of them.

Julia’s breath caught in her throat when he did not find her full figure objectionable. The light from the living room was enough to allow him to see the pale lavender bra and panties with deep purple lace trim. The panties just grazed over her hips, not more than an inch of the silky lavender with the darker lace above. Hooking his thumbs into the sides of her panties, slowly dragging them down her legs until she stood only in her bra before him.

She saw the raw lust in his eyes as he uncovered her. He reached for the delicate clasp between her breasts and with a quick flick had it open. With his fingertips, he pushed the fabric to the sides, off her breasts, then down her arms, letting it drop to the floor. For a few moments, he stood admiring her beauty, admiring her breasts and the lovely gentle curves of her hips. His hand moving to cup the fullness of her breast, feeling the weight of it rest in his palm.

Julia gasped. When he ran the rough pads of his thumbs over both nipples, she trembled at his touch, letting out a sot moan.  Her mind suddenly flooded with images of him over her, his eyes half lidded with desire. She reached forward unfastening his trousers, her hand brushing the length of him as she tugged the zipper.

He unbuttoned the cuffs of his shirt before shrugging out of it to reveal hard, defined, well-chiseled abs. Julia unconsciously chewed her lower lip while admiring his body. No, not love but definite interest. Who was she to argue with what he saw in her? He had a great body, a great personality, and a fantastic sense of humor. If she had ever dared to pray for the perfect man, Derek would have fit the description.

He had waited long enough. His mouth was on her breast, his tongue flicking over her nipple. She moaned in response. He tugged back, holding her nipple between his teeth eliciting a soft moan from her. Julia’s fingers curled around his length causing him to buck into her grasp.

She stroked slowly all the way down, letting her fingers brush against his balls then back up curling over his velvety head while pulling his briefs down with her other hand.

He groaned, kneading her breasts in his hands as he pushed her gently down to the bed, following her. He let most of his weight rest against her, enjoying the feel of their skin-to-skin contact. His elbows on either side of her ribs, his fingers slipping behind her back as he lowered his mouth to hers, thrusting his tongue deeper mimicking another action he had in mind.

Julia arched into him, as he pressed his hardness against her cleft.

“Not so fast. I told you I want to enjoy you slowly.” He raised up, gliding his lips along her chin, down her neck leaving a trail of wet kisses in a blazing wake. His mouth was on her nipple again, as he shifted to her side. “You are so hot, and the way you respond to me is such a turn on. I want this to last for both of us.” Caressing along her ribs, then over her stomach across her waist, softly caressing her soft skin as his eyes connected with hers, watching for her reaction. His fingers traced a line from her naval down to the small triangle of trimmed hair. He lifted his head “Not shaved. I like that. I think a woman should look like a grown woman, not a child. Although, I’m not opposed to variety either.”

Relief flooded her features as she relaxed into his touch. He had moved to where she was very limited in how much she could touch him so her hands were on his back. Without another word, his trail of kisses continued down her abdomen, lightly kissing at her waist, then the crease where her legs met her torso. As he moved to kiss there, his nose brushed over her cleft causing her to inhale sharply. He peppered her skin with light kisses, his finger caressing along the crease of her folds, then more aggressive as his fingers felt the damp heat of her. His thumb pressed against her hardened bud as he worked it in a circular pattern, his index and middle finger caressing lower.

She nearly came off the bed, her back arching into his touch. A soft moan as her grip tightened on his shoulder.

Gently he pushed inside her. As he did, he moved his mouth over, flicking the hard nub of her clitoris with his tongue.

“Ahhh.” She shuddered at the sensation. He increased his assault, now sucking lightly, and sliding his fingers rhythmically.

She could feel the heat pooling, the edge approaching, her breaths came in little pants. She tightened her muscles, trying to stave it off but it was pointless. She trembled beneath him, putty in his hands as the inferno engulfed her.

“Oh, ohhh. Derek I.” It was all she could get out when her orgasm rolled over her like a freight train. Her hips bucking against his hand, as she gasped against his mouth.

He lifted his head, grinning. “I like how responsive you are to me Julia.” He wiped her slick juices from his face before moving up her body. “Are you ready for me now?”

She nodded, her breaths ragged and her heart pounding.

He pushed her legs apart wider with his knee as he lifted her behind slightly pressing himself against her throbbing lips, rubbing back and forth sensually.

Her fingers dug into his shoulders slightly as his huge head pushed just inside. He held himself there, forcing himself to go slow. His jaw clenched, he wanted to have his release but he wanted to make sure she was satisfied first. As responsive as she had been already he knew she could take more. He thrust quickly, just a couple inches then pulled back.

She gasped, every nerve alert and on fire. It wouldn’t take much for her to reach her climax again. Instinctively, her hips rolled beneath him.

Review:  Jonathan reflects on his past that brought him to the night of his Academy award.

This story just blew me away. It is so beautifully written and though I didn’t cry it touched my heart. Once I started I didn’t want to stop.  Joe has such a way with words he paints a moving picture. I could see each movement, I could envision the plays and my heart went out to David, Jonathan and Barry as well. I had a love/ hate relationship with David, I hated Terrance, loved the other’s that David’s life touched as they hitchhiked to town and the professor gave a comedy relief to the sad nature of the story.

If you like something different from time to time, a bittersweet story, Actors, college men, and a very sweet romance I highly recommend this.

Gay for Pay

 Gay for Pay
An All Cocks story

Christopher Allan Roberts thought he had a promising future; Captain of the football team with the promise of a scholarship to play for Alabama. His high school sweetheart and best friend for as long as he could remember, Amanda, by his side, and the love and support of his family. One night, one mistake changed everything. Chris moves to New York, adrift and alone. A walk one night brings him to the flashing lights, loud music and thrumming bodies at club Berlin. A flyer in the men’s room promises fame and fortune for anyone willing to go on camera and have sex, with another man. Money is money, and how hard could it be, right?

Christopher Allan Roberts becomes Kris Alen, All Cocks newest addition, a gay for pay porn star.

Lincoln Carter is honest with everyone in his life, including his family, about who he is and about his sexual preferences. Linc Larson, the openly bi-sexual gay porn star will do anything with anyone, which pretty much writes his ticket in a versatility charged industry. It’s not his sexuality that interferes with his personal life; it’s his inability to trust.

What Linc wants right now, more than anything, is the chance to do a scene with All Cocks newest acquisition, Kris Alen. Six foot two with Auburn hair, an exquisitely toned and inked up body, Kris Alen is sex personified. Linc doesn’t know if it’s the “I want the shiny new toy” aspect that calls to him, or the distant and wounded expression that haunts Kris’s eyes.

Linc figures out early on that Kris is only working the gay for pay angle that All Cocks brings to his bank account. Can a bi-sexual man with trust issues break down the barriers that Kris has built around himself and help Christopher overcome the painful past he is running from.

Gay for Pay is a gay for you story about two men that will have to come to terms with the mistakes they made in their past, if they want to stick around and have a chance at a future.

How about a special scene inspired by a song?

Chapter 16 | Meet and Greet

A new song floated through the club and Linc started bouncing on his toes, “I love this song! Dance with me?” He said as if he were asking Chris, already dragging him through the bodies toward the area where everyone was dancing. Chris recognized the song, “Talking Body” by Tove Lo, it was a song he too liked. He expected Linc to turn around once they reached the dance floor, but he didn’t, he backed up into him and started dancing with the beat.

Everyone else in the crowded club disappeared as soon as Linc was up against him, grinding his ass back against Chris’s groin. Linc reached back and wrapped his hands around Chris’s neck, pulling him close. It caused Linc’s back to arch so he laid his head back on Chris’s shoulder, slowly gyrating his hips. Chris ran his hands around in front of Linc, holding his body against him by bracing his hands on Linc’s thighs, digging his fingers in. They moved in sync, matching the rhythm of the music with every shake and thrust of their hips. All Chris could see, hear or feel was the music and Linc. He leaned down and gently bit Linc’s shoulder, still moving his hips, keeping pace with Linc and the song. Linc moaned loud enough that even over the base that was rattling the windows Chris heard it, and it made his dick even harder.

The beat slowed as did the verse of the song and Linc slowly turned around in Chris’s arms. He ran his hands around Chris’s body, slipping them into the back pocket of Chris’s jeans. As soon as their hips made contact, they were moving in sync with each other and the music again. Chris ran his hands up the front of Linc’s body, grabbing the collar of Linc’s shirt and jerking him closer. He mouthed the words of the chorus as he stared into Linc’s lustful eyes, “If you love me right, we fuck for life, on and on and on.”

Their foreheads and noses were touching, lips impossibly close. Chris barely brushed his lips over Linc’s, pulling back when Linc moved forward in an attempt to seal them together. Linc brought his arms up, wrapping them around Chris’s neck before running his fingers through the unruly, auburn locks. Chris smiled down at Linc as he bent and brushed his lips over Linc’s again, this time briefly making contact. The kiss was short and chaste, Chris pulled back when he was loudly reminded that they weren’t alone by a room full of cheering, clapping, screaming people. They were so wrapped up in each other, neither one of them realized the song had ended.

Chris laughed at his boyfriend when Linc’s face flushed red. They slowly made their way back toward the VIP area where the rest of their friends were, stopping to talk to fans and sign a few more autographs. Linc put his foot down and adamantly said hell no when one guy unzipped, popped his dick out and asked Chris to sign it.

My Review

This is a story that shows that one mistake can change our lives drastically. Chris was young and had his life set. A scholarship a beautiful girlfriend, a supportive family, lots of friends. That is until one fateful day he drank too much and his entire life turned upside down leaving him with no future, and no family and no job.

He had one loyal friend that moved him to New York with him letting him crash on his couch. One night Chris ventured in a gay bar, met a sweet twink that became a good friend and found a flier looking for gay porn models.

This story is fabulous! There is a lot of characters, but I love that much better than a story with only one or two.  There is a great storyline, the character growth is awesome, now for the heat…Holy lava!

The first part of the book is basically sitting up the book, meeting characters and getting Chris’s past. Then we get to All Cocks and the entire mood of the story shifts.  I loved how Chris and Linc’s friendship builds and the scene close to the end where they are dancing at a meet and greet… Send out the firetrucks! This is one of the hottest dance scenes I have read in a while.

I will definitely be looking for more books in this series!
