Snippet Sunday

Snippet Sunday

Hi, ya’ll! It’s time for another Snippet Sunday. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving or if you don’t celebrate a great weekend. It’s been busy here. I finally have got caught up with my story, and it’s possible iI may be able to reach that goal by the First. I am going to skip way down the story to chapter 18. I wrote this yesterday, and it was so fun I had to share! Remember this is rough and hasn’t been beta-read proof read or edited!

Baseball Bats and Cowboy Hats( copyright 2015)

The kids are arriving as we pull up. Simon and I have the field first today. He is following us. I think he is going to stay in town for a while today. I saw him doing a few web searches for Edenfield and a couple towns close by. He promised we wouldn’t run into each other. I’m not worried about him. It’s the town’s people I worry about. She is concerned they will think she is cradle robbing I assured her she doesn’t look over 30, and I look older than my age. It didn’t help reassure her much.

We walk over to the group of young boys.

“Hey, guys! This is Annie.”

“Is this the lady you been telling us about every day?”

“OOOh she is purrrttty!” there are lots of cat-calls and whistles.

“What have you been saying TJ?” She whispers in my ear, a concerned look on her beautiful face

“He says you have horses!” one boy shouts.

“And goats.” another runs over and tackles another, Sim pulls up and runs down the field to help control the hoard.

“And Chickens!” This elicits lots of laughter. A few start walking around with their hands on their butts like tail feathers making funny clicking and clucking sounds a couple bobs their heads and waddle. Chaos ensues as they act out farm animals one gallops off as another chase him around the bases. TJ and Simon hoard them up. A tall, broad young man runs over blowing a sharp whistle. The boys all line up listening aptly to Simon and the other man.

“When Couch T talks about you he smiles big like a silly Jack=-o=lantern one of the boys said. Several began giggling.

“Noo Jack-o-lanterns are scary. Like a funny clown.” This one made a big silly face. They all started laughing.

“Sorry about that.” TJ apologizes. Not a great start to the day.  I told them about the farm. I was going to ask if later on you would let them come out for a field trip. I see that isn’t a good idea,’

I think that’s a great idea TJ you work it out with the counselors and home supervisors. They will be escorted, and we have the guys it will be fun. We can have a picnic by the pond let them fish.”

“Really? You’re amazing.”

“TJ are you gonna flirt all morning or come coach these guys.”

“I better get busy. Oh, that’s Ace Clemons’s he is our EMT we have to have one for each team.”

I hope you enjoyed the snippet I think this is one of my favorite scenes ( besides the love scenes) Wish me luck I only have today and tomorrow to hit my 50 k I don’t think that will finish the story so I will be working on it still next week.

Cat’s Meow~~~How to deal~~An All Cocks story, Behind the scenes, Review and Giveaway

How to Deal
An All Cocks
Story Book #3
Jon
Brennan comes from a long line of men in uniform; all born and bred to both
bleed and wear blue. His family and the majority of his co-workers support him
every step of the way, so he doesn’t need to hide the fact that he prefers men
over women. Between the job and his larger than life, loud and rowdy half Irish,
half Italian family, there isn’t much time for dating, much less finding a guy
that can deal with the stress and demands placed on the shoulders of an NYPD
Detective.
Kory
White is cocky and abrasive with most people, but it is all a mirage, a façade
he hides behind to keep his heart safe. As a child, Kory lost his mother to an
act of violence. Soon after, he and his baby sister Kassandra were separated by
the system. Kassandra was immediately adopted, but Kory spent the next ten
years cycling through foster homes before moving to the Big Apple. In an effort
to keep everyone at a distance, Kory has meticulously built himself an alter
ego: Hayden Cox, All Cocks’ cockiest model.
These
two strong willed men definitely prove opposites do attract. Both are stubborn
and hard headed to a fault, Kory more so than Jon. But Jon is used to being in
control, the one calling the shots, and Kory fights him at every turn. Just
when it seems they have found a way to navigate the unchartered territory that
is love, tragedy knocks on Kory’s door yet again. Volatile and strong, even in
the face of adversity, both men refuse to give up on each other – or their
love.

myreview

This series keeps getting better and better. With so many sexy characters it’s hard to pick a favorite but I think Jon and Kory are on the top for now. At least until the next book.  I did not think I would like this since I didn’t like Kory in the previous books. In how to deal we learn about Kory’s past. There is drama a bit of mystery and some angst.

Then we have Jon and his family. Wow! What a family. I adored all of them even hateful Grams.

This story has it all. Angst, comedy relief to soften the darkness, A bit of mystery on Kory’s side, some tragedy and drama, twists and of course really hot man-sex.

I was on pins and needles for a while there and fanning myself at other times. I highly recommend this book. It is a book three in a series though it stands alone pretty well. If you read the others you do know the other characters a bit more.

If you like hot cops, sexy porn stars, funny families, drama, angst and, of course hot man-sex you gotta read this!
* I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review *

Sneak peak behind the scenes at All Cocks stories

Writing about Gay Porn and making it believable

The All Cocks Stories is a series that was born from a conversation I had last year in Chicago with a couple of lovely young men that work in the online Gay porn industry. I learned a lot talking to these guys in regards to the ins and outs of the industry. So while I used what we talked about to start the series and it helped give Chris and Linc depth in their story, I also had to research the behind the camera aspect of the industry as well. There is a controversial movie on Netflix that was produced by James Franco, Interior Leather Bar; it’s about missing footage from an Al Pacino movie or something along those lines. What drew me to the movie was the behind the scenes of the behind the scenes. It was a glimpse of what camera crews, directors and producers do to make these sexy videos we love to drool over.

Then there is my most prized possession, my membership to Cockyboys, I get a LOT of inspiration from there. So when you are reading these books and the story rotates from filming a scene to the actors in the scene and back to the crew filming the scene, I hope you get the feeling that you are really there and getting a somewhat accurate account of what might happen while filming.

I didn’t want the stories to be all about the sex or the industry though, so I am giving each book a unique storyline. Gay for Pay was Chris and Linc’s story and the title should speak for itself. Fame and Fortune is the story of the throuple that runs All Cocks, how they started the company and how they became a working threesome. Up next for this group of guys is How to Deal, this will be Officer Jon and cranky Kory’s story and I’m very excited to get this one started. Jon and Kory are already talking and fighting in my head let me tell you, this book is going to be a bit volatile, but sexy as hell.

I don’t know yet how many books this series will hold, new characters keep popping up in my head and talking to me. Yes, I admit I hear voices and no, I’m not crazy. Well, not really anyways. For fans of the series I know for certain I’ll be writing a book for Colton and Tony, books for Dusty/Asher and for William/Connor somewhere along the way, a couple novellas {Michael and Max, Jordan and someone ;)} and Gabe’s story is taking an interesting twist in How to Deal. I also introduce a new character in How to Deal, an Iraqi War Vet that has lost his leg. His story is going to be woven into someone elses. I had WAY too much fun writing Fame and Fortune, I must have another threesome!

Snippet Sunday

Snippet Sunday

It is time for Sunday Snippet once again! I am steadily falling behind in NaNo but I am not giving up. I love this story and though it will need a lot of work after Nano I know it will be worth  it.

This week I am skipping  down near the end of Chapter two. The 6 guys Annie is hosting has arrived, they finished lunch and  she showed them around the house.  This next bit gives  a glimpse into TJ’s past.

Baseball Bats & Cowboy Hats (Copywrite 2015)

After the tour she told us we could unpack and relax before dinner. She even showed us a neat room that belonged to her boys that had two tvs and a couple older game systems.

We don’t have practice until Monday so I figured I would have all weekend to check out the farm and see what she has and how its ran. It has been so long since I got to work with horses or even be in the country. I hate the city life but I really needed to go to school if I wanted to show everyone I am not just some poor Latino boy with too big dreams.

The ball came naturally. I guess I learned to run fast when I helped my uncle at a very young age. There is nothing like running for your life to build speed. I can swing a bat since I refused to use a gun at under 8. Sometime I had to defend myself form my uncles sleazy friend and him too. A good old bat and strong arm came in handy.

I hope you enjoyed my snippet If you missed the first two weeks you can find week one here

week two here

My friend Vicki Locey also has some awesome snippets to share. If you like A sexy MM story go check  hers out. I have to tell ya its awesome!

My Review

5meows 4 purrs(hot hot hot)

Clean Sweep is a first book in a series and a spinoff of The Wild Cat series. I wasn’t a big sports romance fan until I read the Wildcats series and fell in love with the team. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Women’s Hockey but once again, V.L won me over.
In this book, she set up the series, created a team, gave us a sizzling second chances romance, made me laugh and cry and fan my face. She also has me salivating for the next book! Oh and Tore? Yes, I fell in love with the sexy Swede! I also loved Jane. She is one firey female lead!
Of you like hockey, sports romance, second chances, great characters, a sad story with a hay ending and sizzling sex I highly recommend this.

A little more Clean Sweep

It was on the tip of my tongue to ask him how, or why, he remembered so much from our years of wedded bliss. Instead, I marched into the bathroom, Pomeranians in hand, then shut the door on him, his tie, and those damned recollections of a time best left in the past.

I washed my face then set to work on detangling. I accomplished this with snarling expletives aimed at long dead ancestors. The boys were restless. I laid down my hairbrush then snuck over to the door. I couldn`t hear my ex on the other side. I cracked the door just enough to peer through. Tore was standing at the sliding glass door. He still cut a fine figure from the back even though he was now in his early fifties. Wide shoulders, lean waist, long legs. The sun made his straw-colored blonde hair look like spun gold. It was time to stop, Jane. I had thought to ask him to walk the dogs but after that Rumpelstiltskin moment, perhaps a brisk walk would do me good. I closed the door quietly. Ten minutes later I stepped out, face freshly scrubbed, hair beaten into submission, and dogs in dire need.

“I have to get dressed,” I told Tore when he turned from the city to look at me.

“You want me to leave?” I nodded. “We were married, Jane. Unless you have done some alterations, there is nothing I have not seen before.”

I felt a slight flush rushing up behind the freckles on my cheeks. “There have been no alterations. Go wait on the patio. I mean it, Tore. Don`t give me that stupid look. Go.”

“Stupid look? I have a stupid look?” he asked, a definite twinkle in his eye. A sharp comment was resting on my tongue. I swallowed it back to be nice. It was only seven am. Even ex-husbands deserve a small kindness from time to time.

Thanksgiving on a Hobby Farm

I’d like to take just a moment to thank Cathy for hosting me today!

November is always a hectic month for me, and for all of us. I’m smack dab in the middle of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) which is always insanity times ten. Then we have Thanksgiving tossed in there. I’m also heading to New York City with my good friend and daughter on the Saturday after Turkey Day to see a Rangers game. It’s a manic month but all in a good way.

I love waking up to see Thanksgiving Day arrive on our hobby farm. I’ve been cooking the holiday meals for years now and always look forward to having my family here. Now that my daughter is in college, I see little of her so getting that time with her makes the day even more special. My mother-in-law always comes up and brings an amazing dessert. Sometimes it’s pumpkin pie and sometimes it will be a surprise. No matter what she brings, it is always delicious!

I’ll hopefully find a small chunk of time between doing chores for our ducks, geese, chickens and rabbits (hubby handles the three Jersey steers) to do a bit of writing for NaNo. Maybe while the turkey is roasting in the morning. If not, perhaps I can find time after we eat, if I don’t nod off that is. I hope that I can catch a hockey game as I digest. If not, I’ll just make some hockey goodness up!

What’s your favorite part about November? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!

Skate hard and love deeply,

V.L. Locey

MY REVIEW

5 meows 1 purrr (low heat)

If you love gay romance and want something short and sweet this will satisfy that sweet tooth craving. Once again Joe has written  a lovely story of two young men exploring love and a beautiful island. I felt like I was on tour with Paolo and Bobby. I could see the lovely sites as Joe described them with such beauty and prose. I could feel the growing desire between the two young men and the heat building as well.

Another thing I like about Joe Cosentino’s stories is that they are sexy though most of the sex is off the page. It leaves a beautiful dynamic to the romance.

Why should you buy this book? It’s a beautiful short story that could fill an hour or two’s time. There is beauty, passion and heat with a touch of humor. There was a time or two I was afraid this may be a bittersweet romance, but it had a happy ending.

If you like beautiful sites,  want a virtual tour of Capri, Like law students, sexy Italian studs, a sweet romance with little on page sex but is  still sensual and hot. This is for you!
