What is destined cannot be changed

Chris has had a monumentally bad month. First, an aggressive band of aliens invaded the Earth, conquered the world, and now he’s fighting for survival in the mountains with his family and the neighborhood bigot. Just because he’s barely out of his teens and a bit on the scrawny side doesn’t mean he can’t watch out for his mom, sisters and younger cousin. Chris keeps searching for the brighter side of things, but his humor is wearing thin. Fear can do that to a guy.
Lasar and Nary are a soul matched pair of warriors from Alashar. Lasar is Nary’s Ahna, the one who dominates him, and Nary is the Nasha, or submissive, to Lasar. Every Alasharian, regardless of orientation, needs the balance of the power exchange to exist peacefully within their lifelong soul match bond. When Lasar is awarded a war prize, he sends Nary to look over the recent arrivals.

Chris and his cousin Morgan are captured and sent to the slave cages where they discover from the other imprisoned young men that they are destined to be sex toys for alien pairs. When one of those aliens saves Chris and his cousin from being abused by the slave master, Chris hopes that the seemingly kind alien won’t be too horrible an owner.

Lasar and Nary are finally alone together with their new sex slave, ready to enjoy their reward. However, in the middle of their playtime a shocking event occurs that not only disrupts Chris’ world even more than it already has been, but also challenges everything that Lasar and Nary have always held dear. As Lasar searches for answers, he begins to question the reasons behind the Earth invasion and where his loyalties should really lie. As their Ahna, he must be the one who decides whether they will all be safer together, or apart.

Excerpt from Slave for Two…

“Oh my God, what’s going on?”
Chris whipped his body around to see his mom hiking up
from the creek with the girls trailing behind, their extra sweaters wrapped
around them, protecting them from what appeared to be their still damp hair and
likely, a very cold river bath.
“Uh, I think Mr. Avery and Paul are going to head out
to a different spot.”
His mother furrowed her brow as her gaze flitted back
and forth between all of them. “Jerry? Is that true?”
He pressed his lips together and nodded.
“But…”
His mom seemed so fragile in that moment. What if she
felt safer with the older and larger man than with him? I really fucked this up.
“Why?” Her voice trembled. “Don’t go, Jerry. You’ll be
much better off if you stay here with us. Chris knows his way around these
trails, the mountain. You’ll get lost. Please. Think of Paul.”
“I am thinking of Paul!” His face had turned scarlet,
his normally ruddy complexion taking on an even more pronounced hue. “No offense,
Sharon, but your son is barely out of high school. Doesn’t have real-world
experience and I don’t think he’s
capable of making tough decisions. His kind don’t know how to stay calm when
the situation calls for it, and I can’t take any chances that he’ll become
hysterical if we’re faced with those things from space.”
I’ll show
him calm.
His mother appeared to be working up to a sizeable
rage. The coloring of her cheeks was in direct competition with Mr. Avery’s.
“I see.” Her tone seemed barely controlled. “Just so
we’re clear. My son has been out of high
school
for over two years. He graduated early because he skipped ahead. He
was also class president for two years in a row, and had a three point nine
grade point average. If you add that to his extensive knowledge of this
terrain, not to mention”—her gaze wandered up and down Mr. Avery’s frame before
locking on his face again—“his physical fitness, I would put mine and the
wellbeing of my daughters’ in his hands any day over you.”
“Whatever. He’s too small to be of any use in a fight.”
Mr. Avery rolled his eyes as he continued stuffing the two bags he seemed
intent on taking. “Neither one of them stand a chance at battling those
things.” He’d waved his hand in the general direction of him and Morgan.
Chris had already decided to quit wasting his breath
on Paul’s dad, so he turned to Paul instead. “Remember what I said. Don’t try to fight them. They’ll kill
you if you do.”
Paul regarded him with the same pained expression as
earlier. “I’m sorry about everything, Chris, I really am. But I won’t let them
take me no matter what.”
“Oh, God.” His mother’s voice trembled and when he
glanced over to her, she was holding a hand to her mouth.
“Good luck.” Mr. Avery hoisted the canvas shopping bag
he’d brought from the Pine Cove market over his shoulder then marched away.
Paul dipped his chin at Chris, grabbed the second bag, then followed his dad.
“Jerry! Don’t!”
His mother surged forward but Chris grabbed her arm,
holding her back.
“Mom, stop. You can’t force them. Mr. Avery made it
pretty clear that he thinks he’s right about everything.” Chris let out a sigh,
wondering if he was the one making
the mistake. “I don’t know. Maybe he is.”
His mother whirled around to face him. “Don’t you dare start doubting yourself now,
Christopher. We never would’ve made it out of town if you hadn’t thought so
fast, hadn’t led us all to safety.”
Chris grunted, shaking his head. “Safety. Yeah. For
these past few days, sure, but then what? I can’t make any promises that I’ll
do the right thing next time.”
“And we don’t expect promises, sweetheart.” His mom
clutched his upper arms, her gaze searching his face. “I know there’re no
guarantees. But I also know that our best chance for survival is with you up
here, and even if you hadn’t come to the conclusion that we should stay in the
mountains, that’s what I would’ve decided on my own.”
A portion of the awful burden that’d been weighing him
down for days lifted at his mother’s words. It wasn’t until that moment that he
realized how overwhelming holding the responsibility of everyone’s lives in his
hands was.

BOOK SYNOPSIS

Antiques expert Steve Carlson must face the mistakes of his past to discover a treasure he never imagined: the heart of a vulnerable yet determined widow.

TRUE RICHES
Twenty-eight-year-old Victoria Van Orr just lost everything. With the death of her billionaire husband went his mature patience and warm encouragement; and the veneer of acceptance from everyone else. His friends and colleagues now ignore Victoria, and if his son succeeds she just might be forced back to the streets upon which she was raised. But money was never her goal. All she wants is love. Real love.

Antiques expert Steve Carlson knows the value of everything. Pain and betrayal? Those he gave away–and now they’re coming back. His worst mistakes were all with one man: an old friend, the son of a father figure, now the stepchild of a beautiful young widow who wants Steve to help her auction off the family estate. To help Victoria, Steve must face his past and become a better man. To find true love, he will discover her surprisingly pure heart, vulnerable yet determined. And beyond price.

MY REVIEW

5 Meows

Victoria has lost her wealthy husband James. He was her savior from the streets and she loved him a lot. Most of his family and friends considered her a trophy wife or golddigger since she was half his age. Now that he is gone she is lost and alone. His son Jimmy is pressuring her to sell the house and contents. He has set up a meeting at an Antiques dealer but she wasn’t happy with them. She decided to use Carlson’s antiques, the lace her husband went through to buy all of his things. She never expected him to be so handsome and feelings to awaken inside her.

This is a very good romance between two equals. I liked that very much instead of one being richer or more powerful than the other. There is a bit of drama between her and Jimmy her husband’s son and Between him and Steve with a past. There is also a touch of mystery when the shop is robbed. And let’s not forget the chemistry between Steve and Victoria. This is a clean story with the sex off- page for those of you that like a great romance but not the on page sex scenes.

If you like sweet romance, strong female leads, sexy antiques dealers a touch of drama and mystery and off-page sex this is for you.

 EXCERPT

Steve tilted his head, his bright blue eyes sizing her up. “Sorry, but I gotta’ ask. Do you always talk like that?”

Victoria felt her cheeks warm. “Whatever do you mean?”

“There.” He studied her again with not-so-subtle curiosity. “You sounded like your late husband James just now. Funny, you don’t seem like the snooty type to me. More like a regular girl.”

His comment touched a nerve like hot wires to stripped cable. Victoria bit back a retort while blood rushed through her ears. She closed her eyes against the sound to clear her head. Twenty-eight was hardly a girl, and she was damn tired of defending her right to be a Van Orr.

For five years she’d tried and failed to fit into the privileged world of her older husband—learning couture, keeping her posture as straight as a modeling school graduate, rounding her O’s when she spoke —apparently fooling no one on either side of the social spectrum in the process.

Defeat swept over her and her shoulders sagged beneath five-thousand dollars’ worth of silk and linen. No matter how hard she tried, she’d forever be exposed as the abandoned kid who’d grown-up in shelters.

Strange though… when she opened her eyes and returned them to Steve Carlson’s handsome face, she sensed his remark was meant as a compliment, and not a reminder that she lacked James’s pedigree. It was like he saw her.

Her. Not James’s luxury-model second wife.

Still, his manners were disgusting. Even store-owner-janitors should know how to behave. Snooty type. Who was he to say that to her? She was a potential client for heaven’s sake.

Victoria stood to leave. She was sick and tired of people voicing their opinions about her and her late husband’s disparate lineage. She’d been bullied and belittled since the day she’d become engaged. “You don’t know me well enough to analyze me, Mr. Carlson.” She kept the annoyance out of her reprimand. The rich had taught her that cool distain wounded more deeply than anger.

Steve grimaced, rubbed his jaw, and then stood to face her, his expression sheepish. He waved her back to her seat. “Please. I’m sorry I offended you. I’m a friend. Really. We’ve gotten off on the wrong foot.”

He ran a hand through his hair and his bicep bulged with the movement. Victoria’s gaze followed the lines and curves of sinew and muscle and took in the military tattoo peeking from the hem of his tee shirt.

She resisted the images that teased her dormant libido, and brought her eyes back to his face. Damn. That didn’t help. Why did this annoying man have to be so good-looking? Her attraction to him only made her feel guilty, like she’d betrayed James’s memory.

Widowhood came with a unique set of baggage.

Naughty Cupid by Deanna Wadsworth #mustread #sofunny #giveaway

banner300x250

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Deanna Wadsworth author of NAUGHTY CUPID

Hi, Deanna, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about your favorite rainy day activity.

Thank you for hosing me on my NAUGHTY CUPID blog tour. It’s been fun visiting all of these wonderful websites and talking to new people. You asked me about my favorite rainy day activity and the list could be any number of things.

I adore a rainy afternoon with no reason to leave the house. From the gentle patter of rain on the windows to the booming thunder of a storm, every moment of a rainy day is perfect. Like a respite from the obligations of life, when it’s raining no one judges you for having an all-day Game of Thrones marathon in your pajamas while sipping on a good pinot grigio. It’s also peaceful and soothing just to snuggle up with a good book and a hot cup of coffee while God waters the earth. When I was little my mom always told us that thunder was the angels bowling LOL. The sciencey reason it thunders isn’t nearly as fun, though.

As an avid gardener, I appreciate so much more than just the beauty of the rain, and the solitude it affords us. I love how much greener everything becomes after a lightning storm. You may not know this, but lightening puts nitrogen into the soil and plants will flourish after a night of lightening.

When it rains I like to stay inside, let the rain wash away my worries and lose myself in the world of fiction, whether in a good book or a great movie. Add coffee or wine, someone you love, a cuddly pet and you have the makings of a perfect day!

The name’s Lio, and you may have read the beginning of my story in A Cupid’s Wager. Well, hold on to you hats, because there’s more to tell about your favorite cupid working in the Gay Division of the Inter-Dimensional Association of Cupids.

Remember Ethan? That Aztec god of the winds who busted me shooting a closeted human with a gay lust arrow? Yeah, I haven’t been able to forget him either. Even though I have a rule against getting it on with other supernaturals—especially ones working for the Straight Division—my magic is drawn to Ethan and all his tattoos and piercings in a way I cannot control.

But after that night of mind-numbing sex, now I gotta face my evil ex-boyfriend and a suspension by the IDAC for “misplacing” arrows. They took my quiver, and I have to figure out how to get my arrow privileges back before they’re taken forever.

Ethan seems to think he can help me, but I don’t know how anybody can make this cupid believe in love again.

MY REVIEW

5 Meows 4 purrs

I love this cover. Every time I see a Paul Richmond cover, I have learned to expect a sweet and fun story. Naughty Cupid is my first book by Deanna Wadsworth and won’t be my last. I plan to check out A Cupid’s Wager very soon!  I loved her voice and writing style, and this story was one of those you couldn’t put down. Word of warning: I wouldn’t read in public as you will be chuckling and laughing out loud like a loon!

Lio is a cupid but doesn’t believe in true love after being humiliated, hurt, dejected and nearly drained of his powers. He has miss used his lust arrows to out men he knew were closeted gays ( I won’t tell you how he knows for sure, but this was so funny) one too many times, this time disrupting a true love arrow shot by a Love God. Ethan has his secret’s as well and wants to try to help Lio when he may lose his arrows forever, but can Lio trust anyone ever again…especially a straight love God?

Like I said above, I laughed so much through this story. The characters are all so much fun, especially Lio’s best friend, Walter.  I loved Lio’s sense of humor and many references to pop culture and Ethan’s more serious side and not quite getting it. There are a couple twists and turns and some steamy hot man-sex so why not give this one a chance.

If you love mythology, Gods and cupids, pop culture, humor and some hot man-sex, you will love this!

A Little More Naughty Cupid:

“You know the lust arrows only work if the person’s mind is open to it. I shot Raymond with a Class 4 gay lust arrow. They only have a little more juice than a few tequila shooters. They can’t make a straight man gay.”

“But that is what you are trying to do,” Ethan shot back.

“You know it doesn’t work that way.”

To prove my point, I materialized one of my long purple arrows.

Without warning, I stabbed Ethan in the heart with it.

“Oww!”

The arrow exploded in a burst of light and glittering purple dust, the blast blowing our hair back.

When the magic cleared, the stunned expression on Ethan’s face cracked me up. “Now, do you spontaneously wanna suck my cock?”

He gaped at me like I’d lost my ever-lovin’ mind. “What did you do that for?”

“Don’t get your panties in a wad. Class 4G lusts can’t make someone gay. You’re born that way. There’s even a Lady Gaga song to prove it.”

His big hand rubbed where I’d hit him. “You should not have done that, Lio. You have no idea what you just did.”

“I already shot an unauthorized arrow tonight, what’s one more? Besides, unless you’re gay, it won’t affect you.” I waggled my brows. “So what are you so worried about? Got sumthin’ you wanna confess?”

He actually growled at me.

“Build a bridge,” I told him. “If anyone has a right to be pissed off here, it’s me. The gaydar says Raymond is gay, yet you asshats over in SD decided to shoot him and a woman with true love arrows. Talk about a douche move. Forcing the man to lie to himself and everyone about who he is. And how is that fair to do to the girl? She’s a victim too!”

“The IDAC does not consider a gaydar to be a reliable source of information,” he said, completely ignoring the more-than-valid complaint.

Humans were born with a variety of sexualities, but there were only a limited variety of arrows to complement the IDAC’s narrow-minded ideas on sexuality. In a nutshell, there were gay arrows and the naturally more powerful straight arrows. Don’t get me started on the complexities of targeting anybody not gay or straight. I was glad not to be assigned to those fledgling subdivisions of GD because they often had to work with the jerks in SD. However, both primary divisions had arrows for love (red) and lust (purple), each with four different strength ratings—one being the most potent. In other words, the Class 1S love Ethan had been using was the highest strength straight love arrow—aka the most powerful of all arrows.

Hence his being so pissed at me.

“I’m not gonna sit here and argue politics with you. We both know I’m already in trouble for an unauthorized arrow launch. Make that two,” I amended, gesturing to his chest. “Why the fuck do you think I don’t have love arrow privileges anymore? Hell, the sparks our collision set off will raise questions too. I’m already busted. Fine! I’m ready to face whatever comes my way. When I set out to do this, I knew there were risks.”

“Set out to do this?” he repeated, looking utterly appalled. “You mean you have done this before?”

I swallowed, feeling like a child being scolded. “Only on unattached people.”

“I cannot believe you would do that to someone! A person’s decision to come out is deeply personal. You have no right, Lio! None!”

Yeah, but the Fates did, I supposed. Who put those bitches in charge, anyway?

I didn’t know what Ethan’s big fat beef might be—besides the one in his pants—but I had to get my ass out of this sling. “Like I said, I’m already busted. If you think Raymond isn’t gay, let’s just follow them”—I pointed to my unauthorized mark and the guy with him, both of them deliberately brushing hips and shoulders as they walked down the street—“and see what happens. If he changes his mind, I’ll admit the gaydar is inaccurate, I’ll turn myself in for interrupting your mark, and you won’t even get in trouble.”

He glared. “And if your arrow works, I suppose you get to walk?”

“If I’m right, and those two dudes get their freak on, you can do what you want with me.” Too bad that wouldn’t be those full lips around my dick. “But you give me back the gaydar and you don’t tell anyone I have it or that I was here.”

Ethan looked at the device in his hand as if it would explode or jump up and bite his cock off. His expression would’ve been funny if this weren’t so serious. He seemed to be weighing something in his mind, and I felt his anger retracting. Still, an aura of incredible danger and masculinity wafted about him. My heart thumped wildly, both from nerves and the exotic spiciness of his skin. Knowing his ferocious appearance was tempered with an innate goodness made me a little hot.

Okay, a lot hot.

Though it went against every rule I made for myself, I couldn’t stop picturing Ethan naked. Sure, I was as horny as any cupid, but something about this Aztec amplified all of my senses far more than usual—especially the ones below the waist.

“I cannot believe I am saying this,” Ethan said slowly. “But I will give you one chance. One. But if you ruin that man’s life, your ass is mine.”

“Talk dirty to me,” I purred.

He lowered dark brows. “You are not funny.”

“I think I’m a really fun guy. Especially when I’m naked.” I couldn’t help myself and gave him a suggestive wink. “And whoever said a little dick up the ass would ruin a man’s life? Ever try it? The orgasms are un-fucking-believable.”

Ethan curled his lip and growled at me like an angry cat.

“Jeesh, sorry I mentioned it.”

He seized my arm in a viselike grip. “Come.”

If I’d known going with Ethan would turn my world upside down, I would’ve grabbed my gaydar and run, taking my chances with my boss, the IDAC, and even the Fates. Because I wasn’t prepared for what was coming my way.

Not at all.

Grand Opening~Kiss Of Leather @MorticiaKnight @TTCBooks&More

The men of Kiss of Leather celebrate a beginning, but will the price be another ending?

The grand opening of Kiss of Leather draws near and the pressure is on to make sure everything is completed for the big night. Master Josh is a perfectionist, so no detail is too small in order to enhance the quality of the prestigious club they’ve all worked so tirelessly on. Unfortunately, the endless demands on Josh’s time have caused him to forget the more important things in life.
David’s love for Master Josh is strong, but lately, that love has been constantly tested. How can a sub in a full-time D/s relationship serve a Master who’s never there? As things continue to deteriorate between him and Josh, David wonders if maybe his Master has tired of having to care for a sub 24/7.
By the time the grand opening arrives, Josh and David seem to have worked out their differences and David is hopeful for their future. The emotional collaring ceremony between Gavin and Kyle is a beautiful testament to the power of love. But when an unexpected party crasher intrudes on the evening’s festivities, the men are reminded that there are still too many unanswered questions related to Corey’s kidnapping.
More than ever, the men of Kiss of Leather need to stand united. Will Josh and David be able to do the same?

Excerpt from Grand Opening…

As he pulled on his black gloves, the buttery soft leather slipping on easily, the door knob to the office jiggled. A knock sounded. “Yes?” Josh twisted and stretched some more in his outfit. Yee gads. I’ll be walking around like Frankenstein all night. Thank God I’m not the one doing a demo.

“It’s me, Master.”
“Hold on, sweetheart.”
Josh padded over to let David in. He opened the door and gasped. David had obviously already changed into his club outfit in the members’ locker room. He’d wanted to surprise Josh and he’d certainly achieved his objective in quite a hot way.

David’s chest was covered in straps of shiny vinyl, placed asymmetrically across his torso, the glimpses of his creamy flesh a striking contrast to the black material. The light definition in his biceps was highlighted by the armless shirt. But it was the pair of vinyl shorty-shorts, silver studs lining the sides, and the fishnet stockings that’d caused Josh to react so strongly, his cock swelling against the restrictive leather of his own outfit.

“Turn around. Show me the back.” Josh’s tone had been soft, almost reverent.
David did as he was told, his delectable, round ass showcased to perfection. Josh allowed his gaze to travel down the length of David’s legs to the combat boots that boasted a thick, studded strap wrapped two times around the ankle. David completed the turn.
“Do you like it?”
Josh grunted. “Damn, sweetheart. You’re going to be the most gorgeous boy here tonight.”
A sweet blush rose to David’s cheeks. Josh kissed the pink of his skin on either side of his face, then pressed his lips to the heavy, engraved sterling collar he’d placed on his boy’s neck well over a year before. He was charmed all over again by how beautiful and unaffected David was.
“Thank you, Master.”
David tipped his chin up, closing his kohl-lined eyes, and silently offered his lips. Josh gladly accepted, taking his mouth gently, but thoroughly. The scarlet lip tint David wore tasted of strawberries, his skin scented with a sugary vanilla.
Oh yes. I could eat him up right this minute.

This is a book 4 in the series and needs to be read in order.
There is a lot going on. Josh, Gavin and Derick are finally ready to open Kiss of Leather even after the tragic kidnapping and rescue of Corey.Gavin is set up to collar Kyle but David is doubting his and Josh’s relationship.
Though the story covers all those things and more, it mostly is about Josh and David’s issues.
All of the storylines are  interesting making the story fast-paced and exciting. The characters are all unique, charming and interesting.
If you like BDSM, Ds relationships, BDSM clubs, hot Doms and fun, charming subs and a great romance this is for you.

Cat’s Meow~~The Cellar Audiobook Tour @

It’s time to learn the truth about what happened that day in The Cellar.
Taryn and Thanos are the formidable Ambassadors of House Orion. Taryn was born into power, bred from birth to lead the people of Greece along with his sister Theresa. Thanos was never a part of his mothers’ plan. The son of a fisherman was not a suitable match for the son of Greece as far as their mothers’ were concerned, but Taryn usually gets his way.
The Cellar is the story of how these two men met and fell in love, and what lengths Taryn went to, to ensure he kept his man. This novella also contains a more detailed accounting of what happened the night Raven and Tanis went for a walk on the beach, and the adult version of Mistletoe and Mayhem that was initially released as a free short through Goodreads.
The Cellar is much like the deleted scenes from your favorite movie. I’ve taken several scenes that were either cut short or removed from the book Appearances, and elaborated on them to create the short, sexy, and steamy novella.

The Cellar is a short collection of deleted scenes and scenes that help us understand the Opposites better. This is book 2.5 and best read in order. This is one of my favorite books because I loved Taryn and Thanos. I loved getting how they met and defied Taryn’s mother to get to marry. I Also liked getting more scenes about Raven and Tanis. The Adult version of Mistletoe and Mayhem is also so much fun. Aiyan and Kaden’s sexual escapes bring the house down.

Greg Boudreaux is a fabulous narrator. He can bring characters to life and make the heat even hotter with his breathlessness or gasping etc when needed. he not only reads but acts out with his voice the scenes to make them more enticing.

If you like post apocalypse stories or futuristic, some lighthearted but super-hot mansex, and hot romance you will love this.
