MY REVIEW

5 meows 1 purr ( beyond loved and low sexual content)

This is the third Jana lane Mystery by Joe Cosentino. I think it’s my favorite so far.  There is more action and the mystery is more complex and complete.  There are lots of characters. Fabulous eccentric characters and icky villains!  The story is based in the 1980’s and deals with a few social issues such as Aids and anorexia.

I love Jana. I love how her inner thoughts are in italics throughout the story. I think it adds a touch of humor as well as adding to her character. In this story, Jana, Brian, and her kids go to Washington DC so she can shadow the popular congresswoman her next movie is based loosely on. She meets lots of people—good and bad, has many trips and we get to sight see through her eyes. I love all the details from the scenery to the clothing. It’s a favorite era of mine as well.

If you like a fun mystery with humor and serious social issues, colorful characters and a touch of sweet, clean romance this is for you.
