Hi, Y’all! Welcome back to Cat’s Meow Reviews That Purr. On Tuesday, I am usually on tour, but this week I missed the bus. Instead, I curled up in my shade garden with Quinn II by J. C. Cliff.
Title: Quinn II
Series: Undaunted men II
Author: J. C. Cliff
Publisher: March 16th, 2016 by J.C. Cliff, LLC
Pages: 315 pages
You have been warned – Explicit scenes, unexpected twists full of suspense and off the grid angst which skirt along the edges of the dark side will make your heart pound, your pulse race, and the pages flip.
*~* If there ever was a term for “consensual rape” this is it, so be prepared. *~*
It is inevitable, bad things happen to good people, and Lexi is not immune to this fact of life. Both hearts will be put to the test – the ultimate test of forgiveness.
He never wanted to take the job, but he had no choice. He owed a debt to the Moretti mob, and last he checked, they didn’t take no for an answer.
Lexi has no phone, no camping experience, and there’s no way to get her back except to track her down. He’s put it all on the line…his heart, that is, and she’s run away with it.
He will do anything to protect what is his, and when Lexi blurs the lines between trust and betrayal, she turns his life upside down. He is left to wonder if she ever truly was his angel.
Neither Quinn nor Alexis will ever be the same after surfacing from those mountain trails. They survived the wild, but can they survive each other?
Follow Quinn and Alexis as their unique story grows more intense. You will fall in love with Kimber, a lovable retired military working dog who steals your heart.
There is adventure, passion, and suspense in this contemporary erotic romance. Along with J.C. Cliff’s trademark steamy-hot sex scenes that keep you turning the pages from beginning to end.
Quinn II is part two and picks up from a cliffhanger, so you need to read book one first. Quinn
Warning: Quinn is rather controversial. The author does have a warning, but I want to add that if you have emotional triggers about rape this may not be the book for you. I also want to add from personal experience that rape is rape even if you are drugged.
In the first book, I didn’t really bond with Lexi so much, but in this book I see her in a different light. I think she became quite the heroine in her mind to save Quinn. I would love to elaborate but I don’t want to give away spoilers. I liked this book even more than the first. There is more action, angst and though
I liked this book even more than the first. There is more action, angst and though I wanted to slap the S@#t out of Quinn closer to the end, I still love him. I have a thing about bad boys that finally show a soft spot and J.C Cliff nailed that bad boy image on the head with Quinn. Both Quinn and Lexi had to heal physically and emotionally from their ordeal.I can’t wait to read Stryker’s story.
When I began reading Quinn, it felt like it was a spin-off from another series. I recently discovered that Quinn is in the Blyss Trilogy Book one Blyss is free on Amazon ( at the date of this posting April 17th)
I hope you found a new book crush today and remember…If you can dream it~~You can do it.
