Exploding spoons!

Hi, everyone!  It was a beautiful but hot day today. We took our morning walk, and there was a huge Corvette show downtown today. It was fun seeing all these cool car. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my camera or phone along.

If you follow me on Facebook you are probably aware of my knack for exploding eggs and burning teapots. Tonight at dad’s I did an entirely new trick. I exploded a plastic spoon.

Please do not try this at home because yes some hot grease flew. I or no one else got hurt.

My brother and his family came over dads. My Sister-in-law was taking the two little boys to the park. New Luke wanted to crochet, and the other Luke went with his mom to help out with the little guys. Brother  watched the game with dad..

Dad has a perfect kitchen for a cooking show or entertaining since it opens into the living area so I could stand at the stove and cook and visit. I was on my last three stuffed Jalapenos when I heard some popping sounds. I took it for hot grease or escaped cheese. I heard a few more pops, this time it sounded more like popcorn.  Before I had time to think, the spoon made a loud pop. I hopped back and escaped the grease drops.

Just in case you still find it hard to believe here is the spoon. I learned my lesson to use a metal spoon.
